Hi everyone
I understand I'm not on the right Reddit for this question but the SEM reddit is quite dead. I'm trying to pick on the brain of SEO/SEM specialists with a very specific question. One I couldn't find any answer for on Google...
A bit of context; I'm currently being interviewed for a job I really, really want. As part of the interview process, I'll be meeting the SEM manager next week. I know he's going to ask me a very specific question.
That question is related to the fact that this company has a brand name that happens to be a common noun. Imagine the company name being "Podcast" for example. They've wasted a lot of money on branded ads, as you can imagine, most people looking up "podcast" on Google are not looking for their website, but instead for, well.. podcasts.
I think this SEM manager is trying to get around that, and he's going to ask me about it.
I simply was hoping to pick your brain on that specific point. I couldn't really find much online, hence why now I'm trying to tap into my Linkedin network.
If you have any thoughts, recommendations, ideas and/or ressrouces to share, I'm VERY intersted. I'm not expecting an answer but getting one could maybe help me land this job.
Thanks in advance!
