Decision: Hiring Firm with GREAT creating/digital marketing capabilities but OK seo knowledge Or Hiring company w/ OK creative & design but GREAT seo knowledge

This is the dilemma we are in.

We are in the IT sector.

Option A is a digital marketing company that creates unique and artistic websites that really pop. But their client portfolio seo numbers are not too impressive when ran on ahrefs or semrush. They are also pushing a rebrand (as an extra option), which we are 50/50 on. Our name is pretty generic currently. But we still rank decent in a saturated market. Feel like rebranding will cause us to freefall a bit.

Option B is a firm that has a great track record of rankings for current clients, but their content/design is very stale and boring. Almost like every other firm in our industry.

Curious what majority's take here is here.

We are leaning with option B, because results speak, but for the investment think we might get more value with better looking site. Could make argument that with a more creative/memorable site you can pair with PPC and have more success. Also the option of eventually hiring organic seo contractors to get us back on pages 1-3 for keywords.

P.S. And yes understood that ideally you get a company that does both well, but after a month of collecting bids, the firms that really do specialized in both are usually the double the cost.

HTTP-HTTPS redirects: domain level or each URL?

Googling for answers seems to give conflicting answers here. We have a domain that has been HTTP but some individual URLs have been HTTPS (like form pages). We are about to deploy HTTPS redirect on the server to get everything going to https://www.domain.com . Do we have to go to the effort of a big 301 redirect list of all page-level URLs without Google dropping our earned page rank? Thanks all! submitted by /u/runtmc2 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/31dJ82b

One website, two properties (domains)

I wasn't sure how to frame that title so let me explain; Due to error on my part, I have ended up with, a www.xyz.com , version of my website, and one that's just xyz.com. Now I'm tracking my traffic differently on GSC and GA. I'm not sure how to feel about this. Is there anyone with a similar situation? Should I just go on like usual or are there things I need to start doing differently? Kindly advise. submitted by /u/Blessed_Dude_101010 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/87Z2MRA
