From Being Laughed At As A Pizza Delivery Guy To Finally Out Earning My Peers

So roughly 2 years ago I was a broke college student who made a lot less than my peers who decided to not go to school and essentially worked their regular jobs for the years I was gone. Now because of this many of them had received promotions or raises and were making more than any job I could get at the time, and why is this relevant you may ask? Well as the summer was coming to an end I decided in my last few weeks I would get a job as a pizza guy. Obviously not anything I planned to do long-term but my friends clowned me endlessly about it posting memes of me working there, calling me delivery boy, and once when one of them had gotten angry he just threw out "well yeah I make more money than you so now what" it all was extremely frustrating to me.

Now when I went back to college obviously I didn't have a job because I would end up quitting my pizza gig as planned, but I decided that I didn't want to work other jobs like that. Not because of my friends but because they just didn't care for me as an employee and the pay was terrible on top of that. I ended up starting my own business and SEO agency that I would pilot as a one-man team. I never really thought it would ever amount to anything but I ended up sticking to it for the last 3 years and not only did it help me land an agency gig once I graduated but I continued to work this business on the side until it eventually became my main form of income. I've since landed about 6-7 active clients for my business and while I've never cared about the money I will say I do bring it up to my friends every now and then telling them "Hey remember when you made fun of me for working as a pizza delivery guy?" they normally get defensive saying "Nah man I would never" and this that and the other. But it feels good to prove people wrong not because I make more but because I've made more of myself and the journey I've taken.

This story isn't to sell any service or garbage in fact feel free to trash on SEO here, but the point is keep grinding and you'll make it happen. Hopefully, this motivates anyone out there who felt the shame of being looked down upon by their peers

HTTP-HTTPS redirects: domain level or each URL?

Googling for answers seems to give conflicting answers here. We have a domain that has been HTTP but some individual URLs have been HTTPS (like form pages). We are about to deploy HTTPS redirect on the server to get everything going to https://www.domain.com . Do we have to go to the effort of a big 301 redirect list of all page-level URLs without Google dropping our earned page rank? Thanks all! submitted by /u/runtmc2 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/31dJ82b

One website, two properties (domains)

I wasn't sure how to frame that title so let me explain; Due to error on my part, I have ended up with, a www.xyz.com , version of my website, and one that's just xyz.com. Now I'm tracking my traffic differently on GSC and GA. I'm not sure how to feel about this. Is there anyone with a similar situation? Should I just go on like usual or are there things I need to start doing differently? Kindly advise. submitted by /u/Blessed_Dude_101010 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/87Z2MRA
