I (think) I'm trash at SEO and I'm unsure why

We run a business registration site and we wanted to create a qualitative business related blog as a secondary product, pretty much the major value generator, in order to drive customers to the main revenue generator.

My background is in technology, but I learned to make articles and some were somewhat well-indexed, although I can't say that they were viral (2000-3000 views), even though they were super in depth and qualitative.

I've thought about several ideas to improve SEO and set a framework to make it require strictly quality content but I'm unsure how to create quality content that ranks.

I was thinking about:

  1. Finetuning an AI model to take information or a draft of an article, improve grammar, punctuation, rewrite the links to be more efficient (eg: to cover the necessary words in the href, etc) - Note, this wouldn't be easily detected as it'd be finetuned on private info and this will wash off the frequent AI patterns.
  2. Doing an AI model to see how likely this is to index as an article (slash gather views) and only publish what is certain of doing so, not publishing articles the AI deems unlikely to create value, especially if not a exceptionally high quality article.
  3. Pruning using noindex or other metods any articles that have very low ranking or have been set as crawled, not indexed, as they're likely lowering overall site quality expectations. I have such content in the thousands.
  4. I need to resolve some dead links pointing to my site, although I'm unsure if that's necessarily a problem since it's not in my total control.
  5. I purchased some press releases in the past and I thought disavowing high spam rate sites.

Overall unsure how to improve quality.

  2. Pictures of Google Search Console

I've learned what I know about SEO ad-hoc from articles slash guides and reading through EEAT by Google, so I want to see what other people think I could do better

Do you know how I can improve this?

HTTP-HTTPS redirects: domain level or each URL?

Googling for answers seems to give conflicting answers here. We have a domain that has been HTTP but some individual URLs have been HTTPS (like form pages). We are about to deploy HTTPS redirect on the server to get everything going to https://www.domain.com . Do we have to go to the effort of a big 301 redirect list of all page-level URLs without Google dropping our earned page rank? Thanks all! submitted by /u/runtmc2 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/31dJ82b

One website, two properties (domains)

I wasn't sure how to frame that title so let me explain; Due to error on my part, I have ended up with, a www.xyz.com , version of my website, and one that's just xyz.com. Now I'm tracking my traffic differently on GSC and GA. I'm not sure how to feel about this. Is there anyone with a similar situation? Should I just go on like usual or are there things I need to start doing differently? Kindly advise. submitted by /u/Blessed_Dude_101010 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/87Z2MRA
