Have a new website with about 160 posts published. Last week google indexed 80 of them and as of today it’s down to 30. Content is original and no AI, content is generally between 400-600 words per post (bc anymore would be be forced), some internal links, post category pages have links to posts and navigation are in place, robots and yoast sitemaps should be fine. No external links yet because it’s so new (about 4 weeks since we published the first batch of content) Anyone have ideas how/what to troubleshoot? Hey, I have a nextjs web app that's basically just a search engine. When you open it there's just the title (what I want to rank for) and a search field. For the visitor this is perfect for all devices, they want nothing more. The actual search is rendered on the server, so it should be indexable, but ranking for search terms is not my priority, I want to rank for "XYZ search". It does fairly bad SEO-wise, although it is the only offer in the niche. My other pages/domains that link to it rank higher than the main app itself. Even dead links. We hear it time and time again, search engines get better and providing actual value to the customer is supposed to be more important than listing key words. Not sure how to title this? Not sure if this subject has been beaten to death... although I can find little about it on the sub. Anyway, I've been scanning competitor links with UbberSuggest and aHREF and notice tiny url links come up as legit back links. I try to scan those tiny urls to see other pages that link those specific links and see nothing. I'm assuming the bots are just scanning the profile pages which lists generated tiny urls by a specific user. Are these legit backlinks? They seem like an effortless link but the linking reports show a 90+ domain authority with these links, 50+ page authority. I would assume if somebody created these links and plastered them across the internet, I would spot them somewhere but I don't. I see no effort made at all, just generated tiny urls that UbberSuggest and others see as valuable link. Is creating a tiny url a simple way to gain a backlink? I'm just asking. Hi, one client got infected by a virus that has indexed +2000 toxic urls (products, unrelated content, eRankings ofc are fucked up. I want to help them and I was thinking of: Buying a new domain and redirect the valid content to it. Or… Hire a technical expert and remove them from the SERPS. Created a Crypto website because I believe that I can provide information that readers could benefit from. Built strong keyword silos ie write religiously about three major categories (Cardano, Solana, and XRP). Used Chatgpt ran result through Quillbot and then manually edited/verified accuracy of my daily posts. I added relevant affiliate links to Amazon no more than 5 per 1000 word article. I have also placed single ad to a sales funnel page for an NFT project I want to build when the next bull run hits. I’m not some Computer Scientist with a background in any of this. Right now, having “authoritative” content helps lawyers, so by putting blog posts up like “how to write a will in NY” helps you to be more likely to show up for the “lawyer in nyc” type searches. Google did not announce this change, which had actually happened months earlier. They say that they can get you on 200+ popular websites, new sites like forbes, fox, etc. A quick search on google told me that these kind of services usually ranges from 1k to 5k and above. Hello everyone, this may seem counterintuitive to some Here, but what would be the best approach to SEO for a news website which does not published original content but only uses press releases it receives on a daily base. Specifically; the news published can vary from simple 2 phrases like “major office in city X not reachable at date Y” to massive lengthy releases about upcoming infrastructure projects. The news would Cover several cities/regions in A state and averages at 7-11 news a day. Due to the nature of the press releases being so widely different in what they Cover (bureaucratic information, political statements, event reports, job ads..) but are localised only in a specific region it was easy to set up specific city names as general category pages - however it’s very difficult to create fitting keywords based of a press release from the city which just informs that street so and so is locked for consttuction for cars for example. and due to the nature of some press relea...

So recently I've been helping a client with SEO and made some landing pages for them. For a few days, a number of them were showing up for the top 1 - 3 positions for the keywords I was targeting. But now it's as if many of them have disappeared from search results. Anyone have any experience with this or know why this is happening? To add to this, I haven't started actively doing any link building yet.
