how to reduce HTML size of Wix page?

Hi, I ran the RankMath analysis on my website, and it came up with this: "The size of the HTML document is 172 Kb, over the average of 33 Kb and our recommendation of 50 Kb." The website has been built with the Wix Editor, and I have no idea how to edit/change code etc. Any idea how this can be fixed "on-page", i.e. can I e.g. reduce font sizes, images, or whatever to fix this? Thanks a lot for any suggestions. submitted by /u/Friendly-Turnover689 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/dELVuGo

How much can I make from putting ads on my website?

I know this isn't directly about SEO, so let me know if there's a better sub for this question... I'm thinking about doing the AdSense thing and putting ads on my website. It's a pretty basic website for now, but it's a very popular topic, so I'm hoping to improve my SEO skills and you know the drill. Ads are ugly on a website, so I'm basically wondering if it's worth it. I know this is a very broad question, and depends on a lot of things, but is there a general ballpark on what kind of income I should expect? Also, I'm completely new to AdSense, so any tips or ideas are welcome, as well as SEO advice, of course! submitted by /u/GreemBeemz [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/AxuKwtk

Seeking Advice: Choosing My Path: SEO or UX/UI Design, Seeking Clarity

Hey everyone, I recently completed a course on digital marketing, where I gained understanding of various aspects such as SEO, Google Ads and Facebook ads. Recently, I discovered a separate field of UX/UI which i didn't know until now. Since then, I have been learning UX/UI. Doing 100 days of UI and have learned about Design thinking process. basically, I'm doing things practically. I understand that there is a connection between UX and SEO, as both play crucial roles in creating successful digital experiences. However, I am torn between specializing in SEO or UX/UI. Though I'm more interested in UX/UI. But since I did a marketing course (which includes SEO), that can help to find a job. I'm also familiar that both fields are saturated as well. From what I have been told, UX/UI and SEO/Digital marketing, both are 2 different fields (which means, transition from SEO to UX won't help if I work in SEO for some years in SEO). Also, I have started working in SEO bu...

Do diagrams and figures in blog post help with SEO

No Clue What To Do?

I’ve more issues with what to do rather than with these non-sensical google updates. I have no clue where to spend the money and what tweaks to do to get the rankings and traffic back. I have come to the realization that SEO pros selling their services and all the folks selling courses, even the ones that were legit are also as much in the dark as I or you are. There’s no trick left in the book that I haven’t tried including spending thousands on technical seo audits content audits etc. and putting them up to green. I have even followed the eEAT guidelines of google and implemented it across all my sites, by following the AH course, and it’s still in sh*t. This was just a blurt or rant. submitted by /u/Jinxedlad [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/lM924ig

Yikes

I went to inspect one of my client’s websites on GSC and only one of their pages is being indexed. Under the ‘Why pages aren’t indexed’ section, the main reason is ‘Discovered - currently not indexed’ Furthermore, when I click on one of the specific URLs that was (and still is) tagged with this issue (to see more details), the page fetch field reads ‘Failed: Redirect Error’ I’m really stumped as to how to resolve this issue. Thus far, I’ve manually requested indexing for some of the URLs within GSC itself and I’ve also updated the sitemap. The reason I updated the sitemap is because the URLs that the old sitemap contained were mostly 301s and not the URLs of the final destination of the redirect. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! submitted by /u/Few_Positive9890 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/KvjtMEo

Targeting keyword with multiple or one posts.

Hello, For some time I have been running a gaming website. I enjoy doing it, but would like to ask for some guidance on the specific situation I have with SEO. For some keywords, I have been writing very big articles, and I think in some cases they have become too big. For example, I want to target this keyword: baldurs gate 3 draconic sorcerer build I have 2-3 builds for this particular keyword and I am thinking about how should I spread them. Should I make one big article, that covers the builds. Or make three separate posts. With one post the page would become very big and I think at that point the user experience starts to suffer. On the other hand, making multiple ones would target the same keyword, and I think it would just cannibalize my positions. How should I act in this situation? Please write if you need additional information. submitted by /u/Thin_Music8288 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/fAyYCMB

Robots.txt File

Hi, I have come across a robots.txt file where: The company is disallowing the Nutch bot. They are implementing a crawl delay of 10 seconds for AhrefsSiteAudit. There is a crawl delay of 10 seconds for MJ12bot. A crawl delay of 1 second is set for the Pinterest bot. In my understanding, this suggests that the company is aware that these specific bots may be causing server loading issues. If not by Following their logic, it raises the question of why they are not implementing similar crawl delays for other bots, such as Semrush, etc… considering they have chosen to delay the crawl for Ahrefs bot. And generally what do you think about this kind of robots.txt file. all other things are done correctly, I have not copied the whole file submitted by /u/Idnemato [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/kTKnlGs

No ranked keywords from my site?

Hi, complete novice here. I put up my landing page a few months ago and set it up with Google Search Console to see that it has passed all checks. But here we are today and looking at SEMRush, it says I have no organic keywords. I know my landing page has text content, so why might no organic keywords be detected? Is it potentially because I have not done any marketing for the page yet (e.g. no backlinks)? Do organic keywords only get detected if someone finds you through google search and clicks on your website (this would seem strange as it would be a loop: no keywords means you don't show up on google. You don't show up on google means it won't register as a keyword)? Thank you! submitted by /u/Upset-Ad-8704 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/uzcwFtx

How to get a 'Help Center' page ranked #1 on Google

I worked at a large public utility company. In order to better serve customers and the community, we created new "Help Center" which provides answers to commonly asked questions. However, I notice when I Google "[Utility Name] + help", our Help Center page is not the first result, instead it's totally buried. At a high level, how can I get our Help Center get ranked #1 on Google for related key words? Technically, we have no economic incentive to do this, we're a utility, it's not like we're trying to sell in a competitive landscape. But we serve millions of customers and I want to get people the help they need. Any tips/suggestions on where to start? submitted by /u/randomLA9923 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/rKGwDIy

An expert here to help me understand why my Adsense got rejected?

I have tried to get access to Google Adsense to earn some money on my website/ Blog website, oppdagoslo.no, a comprehensive travel guide for Oslo, Norway. Since launch in August, I've published 38 posts, many of which rank in the top 10 for their main keyword targets, and some even within the top 3, such as "fotball pub in Oslo," and "Steak restaurants in Oslo," and "Best hotels in Oslo". SEMrush estimates that my site brings in around 3,500 organic traffic per month. Despite the promising SEO figures, I'm having trouble getting approved for Adsense. I've been denied twice now, with the reason given as "low value." I suspect there might also be issues with the payment/Wallet setup, but thought I had fixed this but got rejected again. Given that Google has recognized the value of my content enough to rank it on the first page and top positions, I'm confused as to why the same content is considered "low value" for Adsense...

Image Alt Text - How Important?

I realize this will probably be the dumbest question for the day but how much does alt text for images help/hurt? Expired Domain Link Building

Been reading up on acquiring expired domains with backlinks and redirecting them to your site. I’ve had great success doing it in domains with under 50 RD that all pass a thorough manual audit through various tools and an eye test. However, what if we buy a domain with say…100k backlinks that pass through our backlink audit process. This is a ton of new links to our site, and I’m sure would be flagged as suspicious by Google, right? That being said, what if a client buys another business whose site has 100k links, and therefore wants to redirect the old business site with existing links to the new. This happens all of the time, but does Google also see this as suspicious. I’m seeing this as essentially the same thing as buying old domains, but trying to figure out if there’s a limit to how many links we can bring on. This is only something to be done once for a client, so I’d never buy a bunch of cheap domains with backlinks to redirect, as I’m sure that will look fishy. submitt...

Hey please read this and provide you views...

I've an amazon affiliate site, which is been hinted by the September and October updates by google and the traffic drastically dropped, Although after the site articles that were at the top 3 in google disappeared. But after this I though lets still give this site a try to recover from, I've deleted all the articles that we're removed my google and refreshed the old informative articles also I've written few more article with literally minimal traffic with a long-tail keyword and surprisingly I ranked from that keyword in top 3. But my question is that If I'm ranking for those long tail keywords, will I rank for the good competition ones as I was ranking before also all the commercial articles that were making me bucks all went down so will I'll be able to rank for those terms once again.
