For Those Running Topic Clusters: How Do You Architect Internal Links at Scale?

I’m building a cybersecurity content strategy with topic clusters and hubs (Zero Trust, IAM, Cloud Security, Detection, DevSecOps). I’ve mapped 20–30 articles under each pillar, but I’m trying to understand how experienced teams actually structure internal linking at scale.

If you’ve managed cluster-based content before, how do you design your internal-link architecture?

Do you follow strict rules (hub → cluster → cross-links), or do you let it grow organically based on opportunities?

Looking for real workflows, not generic advice.

GMB territory inching with service company

Seeking advice on extending our service area, while our main GMB profile states SD County, we only rank in our neighborhood but we have the team to service much more jobs. The boss wants us to get addresses in these hot territories within the county and use call rail numbers to validate the GMB profile. Question: Does this still work? Will it catch up with us?
