First, SEO was about keywords and backlinks. You researched terms, wrote content, built links, and waited for results. It felt slow, but at least it was understandable.
Now everything feels different. People talk about LLMs, AEO, GEO, AI SEO, AI Overviews, entities, citations, embeddings, vector search, brand mentions, topical authority, and even visibility without clicks. Half the time, you’re not sure if you’re doing SEO or learning new tech concepts.
SEO today feels less about ranking pages and more about being recognized everywhere. It’s like the rules keep changing, and just when you catch up, there’s a new update waiting.
