Changing brand name to improve seo

Hello I own a local business and currently do okay on google but not 1st page (page 2 or 3). Iv been considering a name change for a while. The name change I'm considering is "The "City" "Profession"" Would making such a name change help to improve my rank in google when someone searches for the keywords "city profession" or "profession city"? Do you believe it would be a solid improvement or would it likely only have minimal impact. ... Side notes: According to MOZ, seorush, etc.. I have a domain rank and page rank better then the website that ranks first for the two big keyword strings above. I believe my biggest issue for not being on page 1 already is that I'm located just outside of the city limits. submitted by /u/atguy07 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3zZ7z09

Need help flipping Google News Domain

I have a Google News Approved site which is the rare (Old Edition). Google has stopped the manual approval process and you can't get a news site without spending a fortune now so that makes the market value of these domains crazy high. The have instant indexing, news tab feature etc and I'd like to sell of one of these domains but don't know where to as most of the flipping groups are for Affiliate Sites only. So any recommendations would be highly appreciated! submitted by /u/5work [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3wWMUIh

Things I don't understand about keyword research

Hey all, I've just started my journey to the SEO world, and I am so confused by keyword research. Could anyone help me with the following questions? I'll be extremely grateful :) How do you cluster/group your keywords? Which tools do you use for that purpose? How many keywords should the research contain? Thanks in advance! (if anyone can share a done sheet with keyword research, I'll present you my soul :D) submitted by /u/gargantuadk27 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3gVNyjJ

How long does it take you to write a 2000 words article?

Between analyzing SERP content, researching, organizing, writing and editing, I spend at least 10-15h on it. It's only my fourth article, but I'm curious: what are your tips to write faster? Or does it only come with time? submitted by /u/jojotheboss7 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3zYmYxz

Am I right about page sculpting?

Page Sculpting is a technique used by SEO where they put attribute nofollow for some links on a page and dofollow attribute for links on the same page. That is called page sculpting. Am I right? Is page sculpting still valid in 2021? submitted by /u/theonetechnologies1 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3zWtlS1

Ranking for "City" and SEO is basically a waste of time (in my case)

I was able to get to #3 and hover around #3 - #5 for my "City" and SEO - but it gets very low traffic :) I used to think it was a "must do" but the more I think about it, the more it's better to focus on much larger marketing terms that clients are searching for. We think everyone knows was SEO is but the truth is that many others dont submitted by /u/concisehacker [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3wQzmhj
