High DA sites with listicles/business directories taking over the first page for a commercial keyword. How to defeat them?

So for example, I want my company, which is a marketing agency, to rank for, "Best Marketing Agency" keyword and it was ranking for first position in SERP till 2021. But soon a lot of other websites or business directories with high DA started creating different blogs with listicles such as Top 7 Marketing Agencies, Best 7 Marketing Agencies, etc, mentioning all the competitors and thus, reducing my traffic. One of the website that outranked me offered me to get my company in the top of their listicle for $4000. (We declined) The worst part is one of my competitor has taken this offer and is getting all the spotlight. How would you guys recommend that we get our position back to #1 in SERP? Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/Confident-Owl001 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/2xIAbpa

Indeed, we saw an enormous surge in COVID cases at the beginning of this year, when many first-half conferences had already been planned. Although the new variants were highly infectious, they seemed less damaging. The number of cases quickly declined and have remained fairly flat. Nevertheless, the uncertainty seemed to shut down the in-person option for about half of the roughly 200 respondents who were part of the Event Participation Index. Fifty-three said they were “extremely unlikely” to attend a live event in what remains of 2022; 62 said they were “extremely likely” to go to an in-person event. The...
