Hi, I would like to have your opinions on a purely SEO question. Regularly updating old content is essential (I'm not talking about posting new articles on the website, but rather rewriting or modifying the content of a page, to show Google that the page is updated regularly). For this, I wrote two versions of the same page: there is one online, therefore indexed, and after a few weeks, I change to put the other version in its place. A few weeks later, I put the first version back on. Etc... Basically, with just two different texts, I can easily alternate indefinitely and thus "make Google believe" that it is new content each time. What do you think ? Google has no way of knowing that I'm re-uploading the same content as several weeks ago? Its only "memory" is the cached version of the page? I'm applying for a job in SEM. It pays around $43-$48 an hour for a 40 hour week, so it could be life changing if I get it. I have all the google ads experience, but as is common people seem to combine google ads and seo like they're the same thing. So I'll be expected to do both. I am familiar with the principles of SEO but I've never actively done it past keyword research, or laid out strategy. I'm sure I can learn on the job though. So I joined this client 10 months ago to work on his blog, we published quite a lots of content and I have seen a couple of articles rank on position 1 as well as top 5 of Google search.
