Do CSS-based fade and transition effects impact SEO?

I’ve recently heard that a dev team has recommended avoiding use of on-page fade and transition effects, because it was hurting our SEO ranking on a newly redesigned site.

Is there any truth to this? I can’t possibly believe this is true considering how prevalent simply fade and reveal effects are, and the fact that they’re integrated into numerous robust themes used in Wordpress.

Can someone please let me know your thoughts on this?

GMB territory inching with service company

Seeking advice on extending our service area, while our main GMB profile states SD County, we only rank in our neighborhood but we have the team to service much more jobs. The boss wants us to get addresses in these hot territories within the county and use call rail numbers to validate the GMB profile. Question: Does this still work? Will it catch up with us?
