Infinity Free Hosting for PBNs

I'm looking to start building a wide broad network of PBNs. I came across a web-hosting program known as Infinity. It's advertised as a 'free forever' web-hosting service, which is great as owning hundreds of PBNs would be expensive to pay for if hosting was not free. I was wondering if there is anyone in this subreddit who has worked with Infinity. What were your experiences using Infinity? Would you recommend running hundreds of PBNs using it? Thank you. submitted by /u/kc_202 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/2LeQ9W3

Is trying to decrease the position of a particular page an SEO practice? If so, how?

Hi everybody, I'm not really into SEO, I mean when I looked last, meta keywords and backlinks were still what are considered SEO. Nowadays it seems (to me) that SEO is mainly content generation (a shitload of content crossposted anywhere possible) and analysis with paid tool like Ahref and Semrush... Besides webdev best practices like semantic tags, images optimization, accessibility, page load speed, and so on.. So far, can anyone tell me if I'm completely off track? Anyway doing the best in order to increase a particular page rank in SERP is the purpose of SEO. And it's possibly done with those practices I need to have a better understanding. Now I want to ask the following. Trying to decrease a page from SERP, is it considered an SEO practice? If so, how to achieve that? Some details about my particular need: It may appear that someone want to do that to decrease a competitor website, in my case it's not related at all. I have a friend that is starting muni...

Canadian business with .COM domain - should I switch to .CA?

Hello! New user to this sub so I apologize if it's covered elsewhere. I'm running the backend stuff for my wife's Canadian business (website/wordpress, Google ads, accounting, etc). It's fairly new but things are starting to finally go well with her clients and Google Ads. So I want to push further with the SEO and get things set up properly long term and be less reliant on Google Ads. I purchased the .COM domain thinking for the future if we expanded internationally it would be better to have the .COM instead of the .CA for reputation and all that jazz. I've been researching into SEO a bit more and it appears a .CA would have better SEO results for Canada -- which is where we are and targeting clients and will be for the next foreseeable future as it's a regulated profession and the laws change from Country to Country and even Province to Province and State to State. Anyhow, I've purchased the .CA domain also. There is very little content, page authorit...

What do you when your keywords are stuck at page 4?

We all know that majority of the users don't go after the first 3 results and in a few cases they end up going to even next pages. But the websites ranking on anywhere less than top 3 doesn't get the potential traffic. I was recently tracking a few keywords and I found my website on page 3. Is there some on-page thing I could actually do to improve the rankings or is it just backlinks? And how do I make backlink without paying? Most of them I requested to publish a free article asked me above $50. They say that their website is DA20 and all, but is there someway through which I can rank a website with just quality content, if not, what are the link building strategies you follow to bring the keyword to #1. submitted by /u/justanotherfailure1 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/32aBnFo

What is White Hat SEO?

A SEO tactic, technique or method is considered as White Hat if it follows the followings: If it conforms to the search engine's guidelines. If it does not involves any deception. It ensures that the content a search engine indexes and subsequently ranks is the same content a user will see. It ensures that Web Page content should have been created for the users and not just for the search engines. It ensures the good quality of the web pages. It ensures the useful content available on the web pages. Always follow a White Hat SEO tactic and don't try to fool your site visitors. I Just Noticed That WWW Were Hidden from Chrome, Does It Mean We Should Use Non-WWW Now?

So I just notice this change when I updated my Chrome browser, and I started thinking this will surely change people behavior that in future more and more people will type domain without www . and slowly no one will be typing www . anymore. My friend who co-own a website with me asked me if we should convert to non-www but I'm not sure about this because on a technical perspective I still don't like the idea of using naked domain, especially a lot of my website are using Cloudflare and they usually have some compatibility issues with non- www . But on SEO perspective if more people will just type the naked domain it means there'll be one extra redirection for them (from non-www to www). What do you think? submitted by /u/JosephCY [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/2ZqQMof

SEO HELP for my Blog!

I’ve been blogging for about ten years, 5 of which under my current site, TheSparklingHippie.com. During these 5 years I’ve wrote a post or two about living Oklahoma, 100 or so Post’s about backpacking Australia, and two-dozen about living inspired creatively, which is what I’m building my coaching biz around. I just did a keyword ranking search and found that the majority of my keywords have to do with my hometown in Oklahoma or places in Australia. 🇦🇺 My Q is, are these travel posts tanking my opportunity to show up in google searches as a Creative Life Coach? Should I move unrelated content to a different site and domain? 🧐I want to build authority and expertise around creativity and spirituality but my site is showing up in the keyword ranks as a go-to for Oklahoma and Australia. submitted by /u/haleyHoo [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/2LjQo0Q

Large, multi-location site is now outranked by smaller, single location companies. Is our site too broad?

I’m on the marketing team at a large law firm that has 5 location pages on its site. Each location used to rank well for our target keywords, but now it seems that we’re being out ranked by firms with one location, whose sites all essentially focus around variations of “[city] personal injury lawyer”. We are building out more topically-relevant pages under each of our locations’ practice area pages to build up topical clusters, but I’m wondering—are we fighting an uphill battle because our site is so large and covers so many areas? Is there any way, short of building micro sites for each location, to combat this? How do I remove Google business listing appearing for some other business?

I have two different business names - 1 for B2B customers (don't have website) and another for B2C customers for which I have a website and it is SEO optimised. Can anyone recommend an SEO service for a single page on a multipage site?

Old website, lots of pages. There's an issue with a few pages that I can't put my finger on. I'm having struggle to increase dropped rankings after the June

My site was on the 1st page for the most important keyword ("airdrops") for more than 1 year. My ratings was significantly decreased after June. Suddenly I was on 8th or 9th page. My site is airdropsmob.com. I noticed that 2/3 of linking domains was spam domains which ends on .cf, .gq, .ml, .tk and .ga. After clicking on them sites were: "Warning: Suspected Phishing Site Ahead!". And if you continue there were redirection error. I have disavow them. Then I have continue to write guest blog articles. I was on the 3rd page for the short period of time. But again my ratings were decreasing. Now I'm again on 8th page. Recently I noticed that non www and http was not 301 redirect. I have fixed that also. I would really appreciate and help or advice what to do. It seems that what ever I have done in the last 2 months did not have any effect. submitted by /u/scratch82 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift....

Accidently deleted blog post comments!

I have an ecommerce store and I accidentally deleted my website's blog posts comments. I can't believe it happened as I thought it was only deleting spam comments as i've approved all the good real comments. I use Shopify by the way. Need help with JSON-LD preview

I don't know if this is relevant here but I had a question regarding how the SERP handles the JSON-LD data type "TechArticle". TLDR:"How to get a preview for data type "tech article" when implementing JSON-LD or Microdata?" I am a student and I'm partly interested in SEO and web development technologies. I've been practicing the stuff for some time now and I've decided to make a small website which will detail specs, etc for different models of phones, laptops, etc. I learned from a MOZ guide that using JSON-LD or schema in a website helps. For the most of my pages I want to implement the "TechArticle" schema type. However I cannot find any preview of how it would look like on the SERP(not like it'll rank immediately or something but I'm just curious) The structured data testing tool and rich snippets tool don't give a preview for this type. Any suggestions of what tool might help? Or what the thing would look like on ...

How to reach out to Google

15 or even 10 years ago there were various ways to get a human to reply to you. I think the last way that worked was through ad words. You'd make an ad, then contact support and saying why is this crap content ranking better than me. Support would blah blah, you'd say what's the point in paying for ads and then they'd get someone from webspam or the like to get in touch with you. I did this. Got a lot from the webspam person mainly about they were working on removing low content results from that category and thanks for bringing to their attention. Sure enough 6 months later there was a purge and all was good again. Tried the same again and kept getting robot replies. Someone copied my post and ranked higher than mine, despite introducing tons of errors.

This actually happened on two articles. Their author reworded my articles in a hurry, slightly rearranged the content, and removed all the images, links, and sources leaving only bare text. On top of that, they introduced tons of spelling, grammar, and contextual problems. For example, in places where I had linked to another article, they simply removed the link and left a sentence like "read more about that here." My articles have reasonable keyword densities and none of those errors, yet one of the two cloned articles landed just below mine on the front page of Google and the other actually landed on the front page where mine is on the second. On top of that, their site is only a few weeks old. This all goes completely against what I thought went into good SEO. I always strive to create quality content for readers, but apparently someone can just barf words onto a page and pass me in the rankings overnight. Has anyone else had something this happen? Changing product URLs - bad idea?

Trying to get some advice on a stalemate between my web developer and my SEO advisor. I'm currently project managing a website migration for a travel company who sell cycling holidays. We wanted to move our old website from Joomla to Wordpress, as it is, but our developer said it would be better to build it in Wordpress from scratch, with most of the same structures and URLs and an updated, cleaner design. We're now moving over much of the content to the new Wordpress site and I noticed that the web developer has changed the URLs slightly for many of the products (holidays) in the test website. He has built a new search filter for the products, and is building the product pages and URLs around this. Initially, I thought the fact the URLs have changed was a red flag, and I have gone back to him to ask him if he can maintain all current URLs but he has said that he genuinely thinks the new structure will be much better as it makes much more sense in relation to the structure ...

Noob Here. Multiple pieces of content vs one long piece and long tail vs short tail keywords.

I am going try making a content site based around cartooning. I have been doing some basic keyword searches using google keyword planner and using google search suggestions. I see that "how to draw a cartoon dog" gets a range of 1k - 10k monthy searches. The google search suggestion adds the words "easy" and one that says "easy step by step". When I put those into keyword planner the monthly searches are "how to draw a cartoon dog easy" (10 - 100) and "how to draw a cartoon dog easy step by step" (1 - 10). I'm not sure if I should bother trying to target those long tails. Maybe I should since the short tail is included? Not sure how this works. I'm also wondering if I should do multiple short pieces of content or long pieces. I could make a video and blog post that would cover making a cartoon dog in multiple styles (basic, different eyes, different poses, puppy/chibi vs adult, different breeds, etc). The other option is to co...

Multiple internal links with the same anchors linking to the same destination

Hi, in a company I work for I stumbled upon a page which has a lot of backlinks from an external source, thus carrying a lot of juice (scholarship program). The weird thing is that we link 5 times to the same destination (homepage) within 106 words using the same anchor (our brand name). My question: does it pass more link juice this way, or should I also link to the other pages within that text using different anchors where it's relevant? Thanks! submitted by /u/chronoson1 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/340N96W

How does Google index "dynamically built pages?"

I've built websites where I had to build out every page in HTML/CSS and all of the page files were in a directory. I've also built websites using ruby that uses a template file for a post and then pulls data from a model to fill in the post. So in the latter example you have a page like domain/1, the one gets passed as a parameter to the server, the server finds the corresponding model in the database and then populates the page template with that data. If I did this with a static site I would have to have a 1.html file somewhere in my domain folder. How does google find all of my pages when my website it built this way? submitted by /u/revolutionPanda [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/2L2g1nT

Watching a site using backlinks and PBN

So, a site has suddenly popped into all the serps in a niche over the past few months. Content is original and good. Our content is better. They are outranking. I did a standard banklink search and found little. Then did a PBN backlink search and there they all were. URL's are spread out in everything from non-relevant to relevant sites. Some backdate the posts .... so let's say they posted in 2019 but the blog with the backlink is wayyy back in 2016.... Some of the backlink content is ridiculously empty, 5 or 6 lines. Typical low content. But, here they are at the top of Google out of nowhere. I know most people on here will say wait until they get hit by Google updates .... but that's not happening. Over the past 10 or so years I've seen sites do this and they consistently stay on top of the rankings. So at this stage we are seriously thinking of just throwing in the "Content is King" mantra and while still upping the content just paying for PBN l...

Google My Business Question: Is Event Calendar Integration Possible?

Hello, I've been currently trying to update/fix my companies Google My Business page and one issue I'm running into is the events tab that shows. We have events running everyday and a calendar posted on our website, but the only event that actually shows is a Meetup event that reoccurs every Tuesday for a group that meets at our shop. That Tuesday event is all well and fine, but it's currently the only event that shows if you Google search us. For obvious reasons we don't want only that showing, but I've yet to find a way to show all of our daily events on our page. I know that Google uses accepted Third-party websites and displays them on your page, but is there a way to upload our actual event calendar to show? Is there a work around possible that you all have found? I don't want to go so far as to make a Meetup account for our shop, just so that it shows more than the current Tuesday event, but that is an option. Let me know if you have found something...

Company Name vs Domain Name

Should I just try to figure out another name for my company is this going to cause SEO problems? Confused and don't want to make an expensive mistake? E-commerce site link question

Our site has filters on the side so users can filter down our products, when a filter is applied then the URL changes. For example, when the filter for 4K video is selected: /cameras/mirrorless-camera/canon-mirrorless/ changes to /cameras/mirrorless-camera/canon-mirrorless/?pi=1&filter=videoresolution-csc:4k Sometimes, the second link (with the filter applied) is linked to from our blog and so is getting indexed. Am I right in thinking it is damaging to our SEO if these types of pages are indexed? If so, what would be the best way to deal with this? Would it be a canonical tag? (but would this stop the page getting indexed?) As you can tell I'm an SEO newbie so any help would be greatly appreciated! submitted by /u/ArisBlint [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/30BZ6Od

Transitioning from blog content to detailed guides/content hubs

Hi, I'm working on a site that has blog content but it isn't very well organised or user friendly if I need to look and search for detailed content on a specific topic area. The issue I have is that the blog content is driving organic traffic. Therefore what's the best approach to creating something new/user friendly that isn't going to compete with content that already exists? Say for example I have 'main topic 1' and it consists of 10 sub topics. 2 of those sub topics are blog posts from 2 or 3 years ago. Should I 301 those original pieces of content to the new area when those sub topics are recreated? Also, what page/directory structure should I consider for building these new content hubs? submitted by /u/superfli [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/2KXqRLN

When Buying a Expired Domain, What Should You Do With the Old Backlinks?

I just purchased a few decent domains. When running backlink analysis using my tool of choice, I can see where all the old backlinks pointed. But now that I've spun up a new server I no longer have access to the old content.
