Is local SEO more important than SEO?

You've probably heard of local SEO as one of the most important aspects of digital marketing.

However, we believe it is fair that before we recognize and agree with popular opinion, we need to have a concise concept of exactly what local SEO is, its relevance in today's world and how it affects companies.

This article dissects this information for you, so you can get a clear idea of why local SEO dominates internet marketing and how it can help you grow your business.

Every small or big company can grow its business and use local SEO strategies to attract more customers. here I'll discuss what local search optimization is, and why using a local SEO company can help improve your online visibility.

What is Local SEO?

Local SEO is a branch of SEO that focuses on optimizing sites found in local search results.

Basically, local SEO is a strategic process that emphasizes the optimization efforts of local entities.

Local SEO is very important, especially if you have a physical store or a business that provides services somewhere.

According to a study by Forbes, 95% of smartphone users use their device for local searches, of which 61% are business calls and 59% visit.

and Search Engine Watch found that 70% of mobile users click to call a business directly from google search results using their mobile phones.

How Does Local SEO Impact Your Business?

If you own a small business, optimizing your business's local SEO can be very beneficial. Let's look at some of the benefits of local SEO:

  • Local SEO helps potential customers discover your business. A lot of local searches come from non-local searches, which are looking for a business like yours, and complete with right local SEO, your business can capture the audience.
  • Local SEO provides potential customers with the information that they want when they want it. for example, if your restaurant has free wifi or is pet-friendly, displaying that information as part of your local SEO will attract customers who are looking for just that.
  • even if your business does not have a website, local SEO helps your business stand out in local searches and helps drive more traffic through online leads.
  • Local SEO helps drive people’s decisions in favor of their business. the more data they have about your business, the more trustworthy you are in their eyes. this lays a strong foundation upon which you can build a mutually beneficial customer relationship.

It's time to change strategy by getting ahead of Google's changes. This is your best chance to improve your SEO and surpass your competitors.

What do you do when you want to find something on the internet? Your search for it, right? And then you click on one of the top links on the first page of the search results. In fact, more than 90% of visitors will do that same exact thing. How did those web pages get there? It’s because they were search engine optimized.

WHY SEO IS IMPORTANT

Because SEO acts like your identification card. Search Engine crawlers cannot understand your content like humans do. So, you must feed the robot with certain information to help it process your website better. When I type in “trip to San Francisco”, it scans every page for an exact match and presents those documents that have this phrase as a keyword in them. If you have the best piece on the net but do not tell the crawlers that it is about San Francisco, the bot may take ages to find you

Now that you know how local SEO can help your business, you can better manage your online presence and build your customer base. Adding a local SEO company to your marketing team will not only improve your local SEO but also increase your website and your competitor's organic search engine ranking.

HTTP-HTTPS redirects: domain level or each URL?

Googling for answers seems to give conflicting answers here. We have a domain that has been HTTP but some individual URLs have been HTTPS (like form pages). We are about to deploy HTTPS redirect on the server to get everything going to https://www.domain.com . Do we have to go to the effort of a big 301 redirect list of all page-level URLs without Google dropping our earned page rank? Thanks all! submitted by /u/runtmc2 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/31dJ82b

One website, two properties (domains)

I wasn't sure how to frame that title so let me explain; Due to error on my part, I have ended up with, a www.xyz.com , version of my website, and one that's just xyz.com. Now I'm tracking my traffic differently on GSC and GA. I'm not sure how to feel about this. Is there anyone with a similar situation? Should I just go on like usual or are there things I need to start doing differently? Kindly advise. submitted by /u/Blessed_Dude_101010 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/87Z2MRA
