What is the relationship between search ranking position and user engagement?

I was wondering if someone knows the relationship between the search ranking of a page on Google and its effect on user engagement.

For example, if a website is ranked in the first page, do you think it will have better user engagement (bounce rate/session duration/etc) than if the same website was ranked in the second page?
