What is a 500 error and how to locate it on our website?

On the off chance that you attempt to visit a site and see a "500 Internal Server Error" message, it implies something has turned out badly with the site. This isn't an issue with your program, your PC, or your web association. It's an issue with the site you're attempting to visit. This mistake may show up in a wide range of ways, yet they all mean something very similar. Contingent upon the site, you may see the message "500 Internal Server Error", "500 Error", "HTTP Error 500", "500. That is a blunder", "Impermanent Error (500)", or simply the mistake code "500". It's one of a wide range of blunder messages you may find in your program. Anyway you see this showed, this is a mistake with HTTP status code 500. The 500 blunder code is a conventional message that shows up when something surprising occurred on the web worker and the worker can't offer more explicit data. As opposed to giving you ...

Google can't detect my content - it's written with latex - HELP

We have hundreds of pages that are super relevant to people and it is exactly what they are looking for and there exists no competition, however, the content is written in latex (a code used for mathematical symbols), and thus google doesn't seem to be able to detect the content. What can I do? submitted by /u/Runnerbacker3 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3td8ZRk

My articles are not ranking againt low competition, WHY?

Hello everybody, I have a ranking article (money page) on the first page of Google, with the following keyword: Football sport shoes With that said, from my keyword research I found out that I can easily rank for the following keywords: Basketball sport shoes Tennis sport shoes So I did create articles for those last keywords, it's been weeks and they aren't ranking at all. They have been indexed, I made sure of that by check with the google query " site:domain.com " and they are there. But when I type the keywords, those articles are nowhere to be found on the first pages. The problem is when I type the keyword "basketball sport shoes", I get as a result my article " football sport shoes ". Google prefers the unrelated article over the one that is more narrowed in that niche. NOTE 1: My competitor has the same articles, and he is ranking with a different article for each of those keywords. Although my articles are way better...

Which website is better for SEO - Shopify or WordPress.org ?

Hello, I would be INCREDIBLY thankful if somebody of You would tell me, which SEO agency to trust. So, I am planning to open a webshop and I have been calling marketing/SEO agencies to ask for help in regards of creating website and working on SEO. I called 2 agencies and asked, which platform (Shopify or WordPress.org ) should I choose for my somewhat simple webshop. AGENCY 1 said this: "To create a professional webshop (with custom design) from scratch on WordPress.org would cost You about $7000. If it's to much for You, then You can create a webshop by yourself using Shopify. HOWEVER, we don't do SEO for Shopify websites, because such website would rank poorly on Google. We only offer our SEO offers/management to websites created through WordPress." I asked what is the problem with Shopify websites and got this response: "well, the code of websites created using Shopify is not good for SEO. The code looks messy and hard to read for Google, there...

Driving traffic to a Women's clothing shop

Traffic to our store has been declining steadily for about 2 years, along with sales. I'm looking for tips about increasing traffic. Making an already written article optimised. Please advise.

So, I've been given a task by a friend to do SEO on an article that he had written a while back. Can someone kindly shortly tell me the things I should do. Now, I've been part of this subreddit for quite some time now. I've read many posts stating the steps, tips & tricks in a great way. Likewise, I've watched videos and read a few articles about it as well. Keyword Trick

Hey Everyone, So I know I talked a lot about my mentor's course and all the great it's done for me in terms of learning and knowledge. But I would love to give back to all of you guys out there, who support me for 100% free, just out of the kindness of your hearts. It's meant a lot to me and because of this, I would love to help some of you by posting some tips or tricks I learn along the way. Hopefully, this can help some of you or maybe it won't... Who knows but if I can help at least one person then my job here is done. One great trick I learned from the course involved keywords. A great trick for fitting keywords into your webpages without having to force them into your content is by placing them into your images. Not directly into your image, but all sites I've ever worked with allow for pictures to have tags on them, and in those tags is where you can put some of your keywords. This is a great trick because it allows for you to not only get those hard keywo...

Why webmasters are reluctant to change broken links?

I'd really like to understand the motives of webmaster that don't replace broken links with new ones. It's bad for user experience to have a broken link on the site. Even linking to not so good article is better than broken (or no link), especially when the context requires a link. Some people say that simply finding a broken link is not enough to get a back-link from the site. I would disagree with that. If a website has broken links, it's obvious that the owner does not use any tools to find them, and thus is unaware of them. For such non-tech person it's a great help if someone shows the broken link for free. Because otherwise they would have to pay for that. I think it's extremely rude for the blog owner to start asking favours, from the person who helped them for free. Seriously if someone on the parking lot would tell you that you have a broken tire and would offer replacement tire, would you ask them to "provide more value"!? ...

Lack of good articles from competitors in SERP for specific keywords

Hi guys, I am launching a blog about crypto. I like this niche and I plan to work here for the next 5 years. I am googling various keywords like "Binance Smart Chain review". This system is a cryptocurrency and I think that there should be both independent informational sites writing about it, and also the crypto's team should have reached out to various influencers and asked for paid reviews. However, there are no reviews online. I wonder what the reason for this. submitted by /u/dev_lurve [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3oE4Xhg

Question about advertising other websites.

Hello. I am a beginner when it comes to SEO. I've learned some basic stuff and mostly notice that google punishes many things. I have a friend that want to create a basic website with some one page posts. Since he and his group of friends each is doing their stuff they want to advertise each other's website on sidebars. Is this a bad tactic? Is it punishable or something? They are five people that want 5 different one page websites. They explained me what they want. I've done some websites but have not dig into SEO that much. What they will all need is posting daily a simple post. So they are going to have plenty of space available and unused. They thought that they could use it and a photo of each other's website as advertisment. Hope I made sense submitted by /u/f2ame5 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3tf9N8n

How To Rank Youtube Video 2021

Hello, I will show you how you can rank your youtube videos using keyword research. So first is to start typing some keywords related to your niche on youtube. You will then add space and try to add letters after your keyword like "a" "b" "c" "d". What you need to do is to find keywords that can give you views and rank your videos and they are not that competitive. So for example if you type "how to make money online" on youtube that is very hard keyword to rank if you have new channel and have no audience. So you need to play with this keyword to find some longer phrase like "how to make money online during lockdown as a teenager" ( for example ) Now when you find some keyword like this. You need to check first 5 videos and see what channels are ranking for these keywords. If these channels are some main channels that have millions or hundreds of thousands of subscribers and a lot of views then forget about it and searc...

Are social signals a google ranking factor?

From I what I can gather there is a debate as to whether social signals are a direct ranking factor. Google has never confirmed that they are to my knowledge. However, studies point to a correlation between SERP results and social signals. Correlation does not mean cause and this could simply indicate that better content is more likely to have social shares, and better content is more likely to rank. I understand I may have answered my own question here, but in your experience is it worth the social media effort in order to move up rankings? Or are you just trying to get your name/content/voice out there? submitted by /u/Foz84 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3tdDQNM

What is your say on Tags/Hashtags for targeting multiple keywords?

I found a blog page on a site that still uses tags and hashtags for targeting multiple keywords - "tellinga[dot]com/post/63-birthday-card-ideas-fun-cards-for-birthdays" (scroll till the end to see those). I personally found it to be a very old and outdated tactic. But I am in a dilemma here about the negative and positive effects. So I ask you, what's more important here - Crawl Budget or Internal Linking? Because it will clearly create thousands of extra pages, which will consume the crawl budget, yet the internal linking may strengthen. Thus, it definitely has its pros and cons. Now, what's your say on this? And how do you think Google reacts to this? submitted by /u/marcuspearce449 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3j8dxE0

Backlinks Disavowed Long Time Ago, But Still Showing Up

Hey guys! I need some help. So around a year ago I created my agency website and bought a domain name + template from ThemeForest. Created the site, everything was fine untill I opened MOZ and found out that my spam score is around 20%. But I haven't done anything wrong or even anything in general for SEO. But when I found that out, checked my backlinks, and looked like someone has bought for my site spammy links. So I took those links, disavowed them like already half a year ago. But today, still I see in every tool that I still have those spammy links as my backlinks and my spam score is again high, but now it's 9%.. This is the first time that nothing changes, for my clients I have disavowed links and everything has worked. But not for me. My website homepage has suddenly disappeared from Google.

So something weird happened about a week ago. My website homepage suddenly stopped ranking (at all) when I type the website name into Google. My TrustPilot also got bumped down from the top of the first page to page 4. The weird thing is, other pages are still ranking when you search for individual products. And when I search for my website combined with a keyword like "sale" or "coupon" the homepage appears as the top result. But when I just type the site name we are nowhere to be seen. Analyzing the performance of WordPress site without GA and GSC

Hello, I am responsible to optimize a WordPress blog in the term of SEO. I want to build internal and external linking, seeing which are the best-performing articles and updating/optimize them(Google likes new/updated content and this receives SEO boost). The problem is that I don't have access to GA and GSC(my boss lost them), but I have access to the WordPress site. Spike in traffic from YouTube but no idea how to find the video linking to my site

I've had a huge spike in the past week from YouTube to one of my pages. Obviously, someone referenced my content in their video and they have a big audience. Problem is, in Google Analytics, I can only see 'YouTube' as a referral source. No link to the actual video. So I have no idea who it is or which video. Can anyone suggest a way to find it? submitted by /u/ozzemg [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3coQbIK

Youtube Keyword SEO question

I have a good keyword that I want to use (that gave good results from vidIQ when I searched on YT) let's say the keyword is 'Dodging Arrows' if I were to use the title 'Recreating dodging arrows,....' would that still count under the good keyword? If that makes any sense submitted by /u/Aaidnn [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/36pyAMW

Landed My Second Client, Maybe SEO Might Be For Me?

Hey Everyone, First off I would like to thank all of you guys for keeping me motivated and spreading positivity. When I started a few weeks ago I told you all about how I lost my internship and just didn't know where I was going. Then I told you about how I saved up all my money to buy my mentor's course. After endless nights of studying, I was finally confident enough to cold call for hours about my business and landed my first client. You guys were there for that too, but now I have actually landed a second client and I'm starting to rethink maybe SEO might be for me long term. Originally I started this as a way to bring in extra income during a time where jobs might be few and far in between; however, I feel really confident in my abilities lately. Maybe it's just beginner's luck, but I feel the knowledge the course has given me about digital marketing mixed with the idea of being my owner business owner could be something I want to do long term. But once again...

How Much Should SEO Cost (Local)

Hey guys, I've got a question. I run a local print shop. I'm a bit tech savvy, so I set up my own WP site and did all the basic SEO stuff (keywords, some backlinks, whatever Yoast recommends..) myself. I rank first for "printing" in my town and never considered paying for SEO. Earlier today I met another print shop owner from the town over. He has a nicer site than me, but it's still a static WP site (10-15 pages, no blog). He doesn't rank well on Google, yet pays $650 a month for "SEO services". He explained to me that his SEO guy sends him a monthly report and "runs the social media". I checked his social media and he hasn't had a new post since March. The site looks nice, but there's no blog or dynamic content on it so I can't imagine what he's paying for. Is this a fair price for SEO? The guy is paying almost 8 grand a year for "SEO" on a static site, but he's not showing up locally for keywords related...

URL is on Google but has issues!

Hey guys, I'm still trying to learn the ropes. Submitted the URL in GSC and happen to see this msg: " URL is on Google but has issues! " Upon clicking the details, it shows issues like text too small, clickable elements to close, and content wider than the screen. I never had such issues with any other posts on the website. So, wondering if any of you might have a solution. submitted by /u/alekhya2107 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3a6h7Ks

Really Need Some Advice on This

I started the current website in late October, so just over 3 months now. Most of the SEO work such as adding keyword content, blog posts, have been in the last 45 days. I am currently ranking for the keywords I want on page 4, 6/7, and 9. As you all know, without ranking on page 1 and in the top 3 it's basically death. I've had no success with google ads either despite setting the budget to $40 a day for targeted keywords. Load speed is good. 40 ish back links. I should be on all or 95% of the directories my top 3 competitors have. The competition: The top 3 guys have been around for 5-10 years and one guy has been around for almost 20. They all are pretty big with a fleet of vehicles and workers (I'm in landscaping). I am going crazy sitting around doing nothing. I have an instagram page. I have a facebook. I have a google my business. The GMB is updated weekly. There are 20-30 blog posts (on topic) as well as new ones every 3-6 days...slowing down to one per week...

Meta keywords question

I know no one uses meta keywords, but I have an e-shop where you can't turn off meta keywords that generate them automatically, the best thing I can do is <meta name = "keywords" content = "-" /> or better leave <meta name = "keywords" content = "keywords" /> submitted by /u/sidaz10 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/2NMuGaD

Question about frequently changing headlnes, article URLS and rel=canonical

We're a publisher producing many articles per day. Often times we'll update a developing story and the headline will change. The URL for the article reflects the article headline. So if the headline changes, the URL does too. My question is, should the rel=canonical always show the original URL or should it also change when the headline/url is updated. Changing the URL of Pages

Hey all, SEO is not my biggest strength so I was hoping to get your help. I was thinking of changing our portfolio page paths on our website. Our paths for portfolio pages for each client start with / life-sciences /client, but our portfolio page that links to each client page reads / life-sciences-work . I was thinking of changing the portfolio page to something like healthcare-work/ and changing each portfolio client page to / healthcare-work /client. Life sciences is not even a particularly important keyword of ours, so I want to change it up slightly so that the URL structure is intuitive. The portfolio pages don't have any link equity (unfortunately), so I don't think the change is going to hurt us. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? submitted by /u/tishmaster [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/36nESwy

Does 1 good link outperform tens of shit links?

I'm new to SEO and I've been curiously examining the backlink profiles of several websites in certain niches using various tools (SEMrush etc). What I've noticed is that some pages that rank on page 1 might have 70 links pointed to them, but those 70 links are 95% or even 99% garbage links from non-authoritative sources. I guess my question is whether getting one solid link from an authoritative source would be enough in Google's eyes to outperform pages with lots of crappy links pointing at them? This is really a question designed to inform my off-site SEO knowledge. It seems like you can kill it with off-site SEO by focusing on quality over quantity of links...would this be a correct assumption? submitted by /u/NanorReads [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3tcicJN

Is it wrong to edit blogposts using Elementor?

I built my Wordpress website using Elementor and I got used to it. I write a blog post once or twice a week. I use Elementor to edit those because it gives me more options on design. How do I use Google Search Console's "Search Results"?

Hi all, When I log on to Google Search Console and look at the "Search Results" tab, I get a table with 100s of rows with search phrases, ranking, CTR, and average position. My question is, how do I use this information to improve my website's ranking? For example, if I see a search phrase A that leads to a ranking = 30 for some webpage B, then should I take that search phrase and write an article using it as the target keyword? It feels that there is a ton of information in those results that I am not using. I'd appreciate your suggestions and tips on how to use GSC better. You Actually Don't Need Any Elaborate SEO Service!

Most site builders provide a guide as to what optimizations your website needs. For example, Elementor provides a color coded schematics to show if the aspects of your website have healthy SEO posture. Elementor shows a green light and red light if the parts of your website are optimized or not optimized respectively. Wix does the same thing. submitted by /u/all_name_taken [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/3iQgEQM

Building a website without coding ?

Hi, I would like to develop a website because I see an opportunity in a niche in terms of SEO. I have the webdesign, the structure, the marketing, the SEO strategy of the website. The problem remains its development. UI and UX while remaining SEO-oriented are very important to me and future website visitors. I don’t know if I should turn to a builder theme (my site is quite personalized, it’s not something classic like a blog, a shop, or a portfolio), no code, or other things that don’t require coding. I know absolutely nothing about code and development, except maybe the basics. Becoming a good developer takes time and experience. I’m not interested in it at all, and I’m having a hard time. You are going to tell me to hire a developer the problem is that I have no money and I want a good developer, not something quickly done badly by a guy on Fiverr... Maybe a partner, but I’d have to trust him and know him well so he wouldn’t betray me or waste my time... I don’t know what to do...

One-language site but ranking in other languages

Greetings! Here's the situation - I work for a quite small European company that is expanding into several other countries. For SEO goals we currently produce blogs in English as we don't have enough resources to translate each article in several other languages. What I wish to know is if it would be bad practice to attach some keywords in those other languages just to rank for them. Or if anyone has any other advice on how to achieve what we're looking for, I'd be glad to hear you out, as I'm just looking for the best and correct solution. submitted by /u/rubijs [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/39kkGgX
