Website migration - htaccess

Hi guys I am migrating an old site domain to a new domain. Just wondering with htaccess; does it only redirect if the URLs are the same after migration? E.g.

If my old domain is ____.com/contactus and I change it to a new domain ____.com/contactus htaccess works.

BUT if the old domain's URL is ____.com/contactus and I change it to the new domain (which now has a different URL) like ____.com/contact-us or something like that - does that still work?

GMB territory inching with service company

Seeking advice on extending our service area, while our main GMB profile states SD County, we only rank in our neighborhood but we have the team to service much more jobs. The boss wants us to get addresses in these hot territories within the county and use call rail numbers to validate the GMB profile. Question: Does this still work? Will it catch up with us?
