Has anyone encountered this?
We have a conversion event that happens across 2 pages. They click the sign up button and are taken to a page. Let's say /signup. They fill out a form there and then are taken to /onboard.
If I set a conversion event to track page views on /onboard, all of the conversions get credited to /signup because that is the referring page.
Basically, I want to know what page they were on when they clicked the button to go to /signup, but they have to reach /onboard.
In UA, we could set up a conversion funnel and I could say that /signup was the first page in the funnel.
Google Ads lets you do something like this too.
I don't want to have to create a cookie, but I think that might be the only option.
