Thoughts on PBNs

What's up everybody, I'm sure there will be mixed responses on this. Who is still using PBN links and seeing results? I've recently found that some of my competitors sites ranking for some very competitive keywords are using ALL PBN links! I stopped doing them a few years ago because I didn't want to have long term negative effects but it turns out even in the age of AI and "spam brain" Google is still dumber than ever. I fucking love and hate how dumb googles algos are.

GMB territory inching with service company

Seeking advice on extending our service area, while our main GMB profile states SD County, we only rank in our neighborhood but we have the team to service much more jobs. The boss wants us to get addresses in these hot territories within the county and use call rail numbers to validate the GMB profile. Question: Does this still work? Will it catch up with us? OR is there a better way to rank in a territory for a service.
