bigapplehead for removing reviews?

Has anyone had experience with this company for removing reviews on GMB? I’m currently trying to dispute a malicious one-star review, possibly left by a competitor. Not only do I not recognize the reviewer’s name, but they also misrepresented my industry and the services I provide. I’ve responded to the review professionally, flagged it, and escalated the issue to Google, but they ultimately refused to remove it. My business is new, and this is currently the only review on my page. I’m now considering hiring a company to help remove it and came across BigAppleHead. Is it legit? submitted by /u/BlessedNdDistressed [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/Hi3Sk0r

Change of address in GSC

Hey folks, I recently had my developer migrate my site to a new URL and noticed a slight drop in domain authority. After some digging, I realized I hadn’t used the “change of address” feature in Google Search Console. As a result, Google was still prioritizing the old domain and focusing on some of the 301 redirects. Lesson learned: if you’re switching to a new domain, don’t forget to update the address in GSC to make sure it knows what to prioritize in the SERP. submitted by /u/skivertical [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/SQdUcw0

HTTPS Issue

Sometimes when I search for my website on Google, the search results display the Url with “https,” which is correct. However at other times, the results show “http” instead. when I click on the link, it always redirects to the “https” version of the site. Why is this happening? submitted by /u/Mrreddituser111312 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/UWpPVx3

97.9K pages indexed. Is this too much?

I made a website that gathers the main contests and hackathons of different categories to ease the process of finding them. I thought positioning my site for keywords like "[category] contests & hackathons in [city]" would be a great idea. However there are lots of categories and cities so the combination of both resulted in thousands of pages being generated. Is this a good idea or will it have unexpected results? submitted by /u/Nols05 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/SlVAicT

Siteground blocking Ahrefs crawl bots?

Have any other Siteground/Ahrefs customers here seen this? Just last week all the sites I host at Siteground started showing 202 errors on Ahrefs reports. Google sees the pages just fine and both SemRush and Screaming Frog do not report any problems. I contacted Ahrefs support. They replied very quickly but did not see any problems from their end, suggesting the I may have some setting on my site blocking access. (I checked and so not.) I also contacted Siteground support who also replied very quickly. After they looked into it they informed me that, "some of the more aggressive bots are either blocked or heavily rate-limited on our servers." Do any of you find that the Ahrefs crawl bots are too aggressive for your hosts? I may need to switch from Ahrefs to SemRush which would be a pain since I recently got a paid subscription to Ahrefs after looking at both. submitted by /u/OldDawg-NewTricks [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO ...

Im gonna bring on 3 guest bloggers per blog and anchor text back link them. How do I send the final copy to all 3 of them for their approvals before I post it?

I was gonna write a blog then have them fill in their part. How do I send them the finished product for all 3 of their approvals before I post it. How do I share with them the final blog without making it active in my site. Should I send a shopify invite so they can view my pages on my store or is there another way to share it without posting it in a more convenient way? One of my content website has search impressions dropped from 2k to 20. Why is that?

Has there been any recent Google update? The drop from 2k search impressions to even less than 30 per day is drastic. Why has this happened? If low-quality content might be the reason then I have another blog with very thin content but there's no change there at all. Can someone please help me identify the reasons for this plunge? How can I investigate the real reason? I don't see any page getting de-indexed in the GSC as well. Is this normal and temporary? Your suggestions are highly appreciated. submitted by /u/saadi1234 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/1nOlzEP

What is the best way to learn & build at the same time?

I work for a fencing contractor who asked me to "help with their website." It's currently on the basic paid GoDaddy plan and is quite basic in layout - Contact info and submission form, Pics of previous projects broken into categories and a three sentence 'About Us' section. I have very little knowledge about seo, keywords, backlinks, etc. I just know I should add some descriptions and keywords to the site to rank better but what and how, I'm lost. If I wanted to improve the site (without spending money) while learning about SEO, Digital Marketing, Driving traffic, etc. what would be the best way to use this website as my sandbox to learn and build at the same time? Are there highly recc'd YT channels or free courses? What would be the best bang for my buck (0$)? Where would you start and what would you do if you were me? submitted by /u/gphirps [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/jYndfua

The How, What, and Why of Boosting Ecommerce CTR (Click-Through Rate)

My favorite service to office my clients is I think one of the most underrated ones, a CTR Audit. I love these, and so do my clients. Quick insights and quick wins. We can make a change and see results in 24hrs. If you know what CTR is and why it's important, you can skip this part. Click-Through Rate (CTR) is one of the most critical metrics in ecommerce. It measures the percentage of users who click your product or category link after seeing it. CTR is particularly important for organic search because it drives traffic without the ongoing cost of paid ads. Organic CTRs often outperform paid CTRs in both volume and value. For example, while the average CTR for paid search ads across all industries is only 2-3% of the total search volume, a top-ranking organic search result can command a CTR of 30% or more. This means for every 1,000 searches, a paid ad might bring in only 20-30 clicks, while the top organic result could deliver 300+ clicks. The financial implications are signi...

Making different schema's and how to implement them?

So, I learned how to add local business schema to my website, but I wanted to know how to include others. I used a generator on dentsu to help me do it and a plug-in called HFCM. I read that you can add other tags. We run a cosmetology school and I am doing the SEO myself. Based on my understanding through schema.org they do have stuff like EducationalOccupationalCredential, but I haven't figured out how to make the generator create those. Can anyone help orient me? Do I need to use a different generator? Question about editing and republishing existing content

I started a blog not long ago, but back then I had no idea about keyword, meta description, alt text etc... I focussed in creating content, but not really optimizing for SEO. After some months I notice that I basically have no impressions, so I wanted to edited all my posts and try to use more long-tail keywords, to try to be more competitive in niche topics. Now my question: if I would everyday edit all of my blog posts, change their titles, meta description, maybe even the url slug (causing then redirects), will google punish it? I mean, I am not having many impressions at the moment anyways, so I thought there are no risk in doing so. But I was wondering if every page would have a different title and url slug, if this would be really bad for my long term SEO. submitted by /u/nyad_k [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/CEDJFvt

EZLOCAL SCAM

Beware of EZLOCAL - A Waste of Money and Time EZLOCAL convinced me that their service would publish my business to dozens of sites and significantly improve my Google ranking. It sounded great-until I sat down this morning to check their work. Turns out that 80% of the listings they claim to have established aren’t even verified , yet they still celebrate these as "wins" on their dashboard. Many of the supposed listings don’t even exist, and the few that do were ones I had already created myself. My Google ranking has dropped, and my social media engagement hasn’t improved at all. Their service was supposed to save me time and effort, but it’s turned into a complete scam. Has anyone else had this experience?
