An agency or SEO improvement that's actually worth paying for?

We were contacted by ZappyPeople and others.
Is there any agency out there that is considered by Reddit members actually worth investing money into? There are so many out there that we have no idea who is credible and who is not. We want to invest some money into SEO, but some of these guys contact us asking for $8,000+

Who are the credible SEO agencies out there that are actually worth hiring with measurable results?

Edit: I just realized people here also offer/sell their own services. I would say to avoid my inbox flooding could people recommend others that are not them? Reputable firms that are well known on Reddit by many users to be worth the money.

GMB territory inching with service company

Seeking advice on extending our service area, while our main GMB profile states SD County, we only rank in our neighborhood but we have the team to service much more jobs. The boss wants us to get addresses in these hot territories within the county and use call rail numbers to validate the GMB profile. Question: Does this still work? Will it catch up with us?
