Hey everyone,
I'm a full-stack dev who recently launched a side project. I wanted a beautiful, modern UX, so I built it as a sleek single-page app style with modal overlays to keep everything fast and fluid.
The problem? My conversion and user feedback were great, but my organic traffic and ad revenue took a massive hit because Google prefers traditional, multi-page, text-heavy layouts for indexing.
It feels like we are trapped in a loop where to rank well or monetize effectively, we have to build websites like it's 2018 instead of using modern front-end capabilities.
For those running indie projects or working on content-heavy sites:
How are you balancing modern UX (Vue/React SPAs) with aggressive SEO requirements?
Is it even worth trying to optimize a single-page flow for AdSense anymore, or is programmatic SEO on multi-page layouts the only viable way forward in 2026?
Curious to hear how others handle this frustration.
