Question about indexing in GSC

Two days ago I uploaded the sitemap of my new website to GSC. For now it tells me that there are zero pages indexed, everything seems normal up to this point. However, when I do a search with site: my domain, it shows three results. What is the reason for this discrepancy? submitted by /u/mikiki310 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/cMfKREG

Search Generative Experience

Found a video on YT about this. Has anyone used this from Google? It’s scary to think that all of this AI will take over searches. Unpopular opinion? March update got some things very right.

Just like you, I'm analyzing results every day. I look intensely at a small range of niches . But, I temperature check other industries. I know the criticisms...I've made them also. BUT, from what I'm seeing now , this March update ended up getting some things very right...in a way that I haven't seen for many years. When you put aside the big billionaire boy bias, I see some highly competent independent projects gaining and surpassing the bullshit that's been outranking for years. I'm also seeing the Reddit/Quora etc. etc. thing pushed down a bit from the bonkers dominance a few weeks back. I AM NOT saying, " these results are fucking great! " But, for what I look at, they're better than in many years at this moment. That could change tonight, of course. What do you think? edit: just to fix typo submitted by /u/puddingbike [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/9NAkOXo

How many of you were affected

There are a lot of theories, and a lot of people angry that their livelihoods were wiped out. It creates an illusion that everything is doomed. So let's see the numbers - did march update crush your small blog? If you voted no, could you share what you think you did right? Personally I think people whose blogs were affected were backed up by backlinks that had low quality content View Poll submitted by /u/OddGeneral1293 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/O7kQt2v

Linkbuilding - competitors are doing it and they are on top

hey guys! This forum can be a bit brutal! not trying to offend anyone here- so just starting with that disclaimer Linkbuilding everyone is always like- create amazing content blah blah get back links- its hard and extremely difficult to make amazing content consistently... and even if you do- you still need it to rank for it to be found by google- and for it to rank it needs backlinks..so that other people can link to it. So you need even more content to submit off to talk about the content you just made! Doing backlink research on my competitors i can see they have random links from random websites that are blatantly bought- but its working with the serps which leads me to think- they are buying links.. so perhaps you buy a few links to make the page rank then hopefully the content you made is good and other people therefore see it. ?! submitted by /u/berney777 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/8IUWMjG...

Disavow

Hi guys, So, right now I found that I have toxic links. My website domain authority was 20 and after that I have dropped to 11. I was thinking to do disavow. Yet, my SEO agent didn't recommend that since he is afraid that Google may hurt our website more by dropping the traffic to website. And Google may ignore these toxic links after a time. Is he right? Or should I do disavow and ignore him? submitted by /u/Evening_Station_5380 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/4AS3cYO

What Trends do you see with Spam Comment Links?

So, very small stuff here, but interested in everyone's thoughts. Lately, I've been seeing my spam comments be: 1 - Binance affiliates (crypto), 2 - Porn, 3 - Various phone number sites. Everyone else seeing similar or different? As sites have gotten killed, I've noticed the volume has gone down a tad (on the spam). submitted by /u/javanx3d2 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/jiADJ2T

Video player to capture lead data and track different channel's UTMs?

So we want to use video to capture leads (name & email). The idea is to capture this data in an overlay layer before the user is able to play the video. We were testing Wistia's Turnstyle however the issue is that we are not able to capture the UTMs used by different channels sending traffic to this specific page where the video is embeded. Also, the integration with Zappier is very weak. Ideally we need to send to Google Sheets: name, email, & UTMs Any idea how to achieve this? Or any tool you could recommend? New comer to SEO. YAY OR NAY

I have been developing a business (service as a product website) from more than a month now in my part time. In the meantime I have been reading all the crap about google update and how the traffic fluctuated and people are mad about it. I noticed the most affected people were who were already running their business or website (ofcourse) but how this whole thing affect the newcomers? I was planning to learn basic SEO and target my niche but my question is is it still worth it if I am starting from zero? Is it still worth doing the keyword research? If yes, what should I care about and what not? How do I take reddit into consideration when it comes to marketing or online presence? Crazy Blackhat Trick working for SEOs atm Google Maps

This is the craziest thing i ever seen and i do not want to post a example because I have had enough headaches and google will not support you and DEFENDS grrr illegal maps lol. Step one go google maps and suggest a edit for a address in a vacant parking lot, in someone elses business, a biz parking lot,(a little Pun intended but will work) a lake, middle of highway just about anywhere you need. Note now here is the kicker, you can take 50 Bee street and move it 2 miles in betweem 48 amway drive and 52 fraudway. Now after some time we have our self a virtual building. Its real and google thinks its real, if you argue with them, then a rep from India(no disrespect) that is where they are from. Will either drop a boiler point response or talk about anything else except whats going on. Step two after the new address is created with yourn FRESH new virtual building just add your virtual business in there. Dont forget to make some reviews saying how much customers enjoyed the virual sto...

ChatGPT v Other AI tools

I’ve started to look into AI to help me with writing blogs, generating images and SEO etc. My question is if most tools (maybe all of them) are built using ChatGPT what is the value of using other tools like copy.ai, jasper, gravity write etc. I assume they’ve ’trained’ it and provided a different user interface? Would using ChatGPT provide more flexibility rather than the fine tuned tools? Note: I know it isn’t as good as getting a copywriter/ graphic designer but I have budget constraints as a solo business owner. What is SEO product review spam?

SEO product review spam r efers to fake or manipulated reviews created to artificially boost a product's reputation and search engine rankings. These reviews often lack authenticity and are generated by bots or paid reviewers. Product review spam undermines trust and misleads consumers. To combat this, businesses should prioritize genuine customer feedback and engage in ethical marketing practices to build credibility and trust. Do You Publish Blog Articles Just For The Purpose Of SEO?

Do people actually still genuinely publish content or do they just plan out a bunch of high-traffic potential keywords to generate website traffic for ad revenue or to get them to book an appointment/buy something from them/sign up for something? Curious if there are still any genuine bloggers that really want to tell stories, like they're connected. For example: Last week's article talked bout (topic A), which is very relevant to (topic B), so now you can start learning about (topic) b in today's latest post. Am I making any sense? If you were a content marketer/SEO professional and you're working on a fresh site for a landscaping company, would you start publishing articles for a client/business in the style of " i'm just gonna search for high volume keywords that can rank well and start creating SEO optimized copy " or would you set up a chain of content that's actually connected and relevant to each other without having SEO in mind? Anybody notice a drop in inquiries?

My web design agency is number 1 or 2 in everything local, from the local pack to various directories and marketplaces. That said, I've noticed a significant drop in inquiries. Getting a Google review made things pop for a few days, and even that doesn't happen anymore. We’re rated five stars, and I'm unsure what else could happen. I recently installed Clarity to try and understand better the user behavior. Primarily to see if any technical issues are going on. Question: Will Google crawl script generated content?

Total n00b question. I have some pages on my travel affiliate blog that I need to manually update often because the last minute flights that I found, get outdated very fast. I just found out that Kiwi.com , one of the affiliate partners I work with, actually has a widget that generates the exact content I need automatically. They will show the cheapest flights to a specific destination. I was thinking of adding this widget to my destination pages (e.g. flights/barcelona), below my lastest 'manual' update on fight deals. But now I'm asking myself, does Google actually crawl this content? And will it have any impact? I know flights are a pretty competitive field, but in my country, we're in the top 4 and are bringing in quite some traffic and affiliate revenue through our brand name and SEO content. I now want to find a way to improve my destination pages, so that they start ranking too. I'm not sure if I can post a script example here. But happy to DM it. su...

How to make my webpage more e-commerce?

hey, since the last google update, it's definitely better to run an e-commerce site more than a niche site so it's less likely to get clapped in the future. I have a website where I sell beats for rappers and for now I only have 1 main collection page with all my beats in one playlist(it's a money page with most broad keywords) but I guess if I want to make this site more ecommerce-ish I should now add a seperate page for every beat + description(like 200 beats or so)? Should I use WooCommerce? And also what else to add so it looks like ecomm to google? Service pages? I want to get traffic by posting informational/affiliate articles. How Many Backlinks of a Lesser DA Score Does One higher DA Score Cover in each DA Category?

For example, one DA score of 60 would be the equivalent to 5 links with a DA score of 25. (I don't know if that's true, I'm just making that up to make my question more clear). That example is basically my question... for each DA category (DA 20-80). What would each DA level cover in the total number of backlinks of a lower, less powerful domain? One 80 DA score is like ten, 40 DA links (again making this up and don't know if that's true) What would be a correct equivalent when measuring the power of all the DA scores? I'll do a Free detailed Audit - for your business (brand evaluation to website, marketing strategy)

We do have a Business Consulting Agency which is relatively quite new like few days old. I'm trying out various client acquisition methods and strategies. And then I discuss with the person about his answers in detail, and in depth focusing on each and every part of answer which is an another 15+ page. I then give a 25 pages step by step guide for them to navigate forward. All for free! I know it's a lot of work and a value, but I believe giving out value will get us value. What's the difference between ranking for the map pack and in Google maps vs ranking in local search results?

Will optimizing a site for local ranking e.g. "locksmith st louis" also optimize its ranking in google maps or is that a completely different ball game? How to monetise a local rank and rent?

Anyone with previous rank & rent or lead gen experience, your input would be appreciated. I've got a local service site which has been generating a load of requests for work lately. Services range from £1.5k to £4k. I'm talking to a couple of potential contractors to fill out the work, but I'm new to this. I'm leaning away from traditional "R&R" of taking a monthly fee for the site's leads. The idea of scaling the service further to bring in more revenue is a possibility.. That's why I'm leaning more towards either: Taking a % of each sale. Selling each lead. If anyone has experience with this, I'd love to hear your feedback on which route to go down.
