Topic clusters , Pillar pages , sub topics and interlinking

Dear Experts, I have just started learning seo blogging. I have visited many online learning resources to learn this. After watching several videos I am confused which one to follow ? First step niche selection Low in competition and high traffic Second step : focus keyword low in kd and high in volume Then spy on related websites and export their keywords on which their pages are ranking Now I want to know how to use these keywords ? Where to put these keywords ? How to create pillar page ? How to create topic clusters ? I have tried to create an article on keyword which is having low kd , but when I create other pages it includes keywords which are high in kd Please anyone can guide me ? submitted by /u/Emergency-Object-609 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/MXmTZHv

Anyone using Duda?

Duda is a CMS known for its ease of use and speed. Although not widely recognized, it has caught the attention of some SEOs. Last month, we encountered two websites built on Duda that were demoted by Google—completely wiped out, with zero traffic. Since two websites represent a very limited sample, I’d like to know if any other Duda users have faced similar issues. For these two websites, we know the reason for the demotion, and it’s 100% Duda’s fault. However, there might be factors we’re overlooking. We’re essentially looking to confirm whether this is a common issue for all Duda websites or if there are ways to avoid these problems. submitted by /u/AbleInvestment2866 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/UP9qLNv

Importance of having a product for sale on page?

Hello all, I work in marketing for a tech company and have been trying to diagnose why our rankings for our primary key phrase have been dropping over the last couple of years. Our company specializes in a niche product. The companies that outrank us all sell a broader range of products, but their internal pages for the more niche product variants, that compete with ours, are the ones that rank. The page that is ranking for us is our home page, as our company sells only the more niche products. Hope that makes sense. The common thread with all of the sites that outrank us seems to be that they each have products for sale *on the page that ranks*. Additionally, they're also ranking for internal pages, whereas we are ranking our home page. I'm looking for suggestions on how to address this. On one hand, the answer seems simple - just build an internal page with products for sale to compete. We did that, and it had no effect, and the page doesn't rank. I suppose this makes...

Competitor poaching our "located within" businesses/tenants.

We are a Coworking space and have multiple companies working within our walls. I just discovered a competitor has marked themselves as the company who our tenants are "located within" but under our address within Google Maps. Does this have a ranking impact and is this reportable? submitted by /u/BradCloonie [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/UsIY70H

Don't understand why people is against Anti Monopoly Bill

Maybe because some seo company scared what will happen once they need to refocus their entire strategy? For Full Marketing company, these won't effect much as marketing applied the principle of online/offline and every single channel that we can use. Social media/mail/group chat/Influencer campaign/adverts/SEO and all the way to offline billboard. Should i put it this way? Monopoly in any business category is bad for competition and growth. But a monopoly on entire ecosystem is on a whole different level. To put it in a simpler way, if one company monopoly 90% of car industry, ie manufacturing is that a good thing? Then how about if the monopoly is on entire ecosystem? From manufacturing, to front end sales, online sales, to oil and gasses, and even delivery. When this happen, it doesn't matter which new innovation come out, it cannot compete because people are used to one for all services. Now back to web ecosystem. Not sure how many is here from the old days of web. The...

Need Advice on Making the Switch from Content Writing to SEO

Hey everyone, I've been working as a content writer for over 7 years, primarily writing blogs. Over the years, I've gotten more and more interested in SEO, and now I feel I have a solid understanding of it. Recently, I've decided that I want to make the shift from content writing to SEO. From what I’ve gathered, SEO seems like a more reliable and career-growth-oriented path compared to just content writing, especially in the long term. But whenever I apply for even entry-level SEO roles, my profile gets rejected due to a lack of experience, even though I'm open to starting from the entry level posts. If anyone has faced similar challenges or has advice on how to break into SEO, I’d love to hear your thoughts! submitted by /u/AskTheNeek [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/mYA1Syn

Preparing for an SEO Analytics Interview

Hello, I have an upcoming interview for an SEO Analytics position at a company. I am very interested in this role, although I’ve never had a similar job; I’ve only worked a bit with paid advertising. Google ShadowBan

Hi all, I made the mistake of creating a google business account, not realizing these are only for businesses with physical locations. As a result, my business was added to my personal address on google maps... I really wanted this removed so I added feedback/ requested help. They took down the business which was good, but did so by suspending my business profile due to a violation of TOS. This business profile was made with my Shopify email and also included my website domain. The issue is that now when I search the name of my business, my website is nowhere to be found. Does anyone know if this is a temporary shadowban, or if I need to create a new domain/ email now? submitted by /u/conorcd [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/e2GFM9f

Will Citation Services Hurt You?

I'm debating on whether to use Brightlocal to list my business in 50 or 100 citation cites, or hire a virtual assistant to do it manually. My concern is that suddenly adding 50 or 100 citations will look unnatural and I'll get penalized. What's the general wisdom out there on this? submitted by /u/noraft [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/6EzgvLp

Seeking Advice: Best Strategies to Boost Awareness, Branding, and Traffic for My Home-Built Website

Hi everyone, I’m a full time artist not very business or tech savvy. I started my career on Etsy like 12 years ago. With my limited skills I’ve managed to built my own website on Shopify to showcase my handcrafted industrial cage lights. While I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished so far, I know there’s still a lot to learn when it comes to building awareness, strengthening my brand, and driving consistent traffic. Here’s what I’ve done so far: 1. Designed the site with a focus on simplicity and user-friendliness. (Editing is always a learning challenge) 2. Started social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram to promote my work, the website and its products. (Gaining more followers is a slow grind) 3. Implemented basic SEO practices like keyword optimization and meta descriptions. (makes my head spin) However, I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface, and I’d love some guidance on what to focus on next. My main goals are: • Building a strong, recognizable brand that resonates ...

How Regular Content Updates with AI Helped Us Gain New Keywords and Triple Leads

Hey folks, I wanted to share a case study about how regular updates to existing content helped us improve rankings and generate more leads in a competitive niche. This is for resources.instafill.ai, a Docusaurus site that helps people in the U.S. fill out tax and legal forms. The niche is crowded with established competitors, but focusing on existing content instead of creating new pages made a big difference for us. The Process We updated 4-5 articles in November 2024, rolling out changes in 3-4 batches. The updates were generated using Hipa.ai which suggested ways to improve the content. At first, we applied the changes manually since we didn’t yet have GitHub integration. Now that GitHub is integrated, updates can be scheduled and applied automatically. We still review all suggestions to make sure they align with our goals. The site is built on Docusaurus , and hipa.ai fully supports both Docusaurus and Markdown-based workflows. This made it easy to apply updates with the ric...

Googled killed my $1,000/mo blog. Why shouldn't I just sell backlinks?

Like the title says, I had a blog I started (tech/travel/culture space) that I built up for 18 months, with like 60 articles. It was as making steady $1,000 a month (almost all from Amazon Associates from 2-3 articles), but then it got smacked in one of the Google Updates half a year ago and lost 90% of traffic overnight. It makes about $10 a month now, if that, and has stayed that way for 6 months since the google update. My thought is that if this site will never recover, I don't really mind trashing it's signals to google, so why shouldn't I just go on Fiverr and sell backlinks to make $20 a pop or something? Just curious if anyone's been in a similar situation and tried this out, or if there's anything I'm overlooking/underthinking. submitted by /u/NeverOutOfMoves [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/XGuN02M

The same "learn more" text for different links -- Does it really effect SEO?

I was using SEObility and one of the issues it listed was due to using the same "learn more" text (on my homepage) for several different links. I have seen many popular websites do the same, so I'm wondering if it is worth fixing? We are a small business and rank quite low. However, we like the concise phrase "learn more" and the uniformity it provides. It makes button text too long and If we used different words, we worry that it could give visitors the wrong idea. Our website educates about insurance, so if we made the text, "Drive with peace of mind," then visitors won't know what the button does. Or they'll feel like they're being pressured to make a decision now. Is this really important? Or do you have any advice? submitted by /u/arthorse [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/xB1jJzM

Buying non related domains and redirecting them to my site for backlinks? Bad idea?

Hey everyone. I found a domain that has 45 DA which is much higher than what I have and it’s expired but it’s a dance club, but has very strong local backlinks from big universities and local media and I offer logo and graphic design, some web design but not really. If i were to acquire that and redirect to my website would that hurt my ranking significantly since they’re dance related and branded ( with dance studio name )? Would building a page saying “logo designs for dance studios” and redirecting to that page help or would i get penalized? submitted by /u/DOODECAHEDRON [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/k3tE40x

How valuable are backlinks from other countries?

I was wondering how valuable backlinks from other countries are. I am Canada and usually only go after backlinks from North America. Website up and down in rankings

My website is tracked by Semrush, and one day I get an email that it enters the top ten, then several days later another email from Semrush says it dropped approximately 60 positions down. Website's traffic breakdown by State/City

Does anybody know a tool or a solution that could show other people's website traffic breakdown by City or State? Advice Needed for Site Sabotage

Hi everyone, I'm hoping y'all can give me some advice for how to combat sabotage to one of my sites. I've been publishing Raised to Walk (link in my profile) since 2013 as a side ministry project. I was doing a lot of ghostwriting for Christian nonprofits at the time and I wanted my own outlet where I could write my own thoughts, not to keywords, and without any editing. Since I wasn't writing to keywords, I didn't really track or analyze SERPs, which I realize now was a big mistake. I discovered a few months ago that my site has been the target of a negative SEO campaign. The attacks have come in multiple ways, but this is what I need advice on. They got false URLS indexed in the search engines (Google seems to be the most susceptible to sabotage and manipulation). The attacks on my site are just one small part of the targeting and, as I said, this has always been a side project. So I've just been adding redirects from the false urls to the actual article...

SEO tips for political blog on Squarespace?

Hello. I write a blog mostly about politics and current affairs, but I will sometimes talk about other things on said blog. In the interest of remaining in compliance with this subreddit's rules, I will not link the blog here. I have added some internal links to other pages, which might lower the bounce rate a little, but the bigger issue remains that I need to get Google to recommend my blog to more people (or really, anyone). So what keywords should I include in the subtitle/description to get noticed? What will be your motivation to write useful content now, if the new search engines are just stealing our content?

We had a simple deal: we spend thousands of hours writing useful and validated content, and Google sends traffic to us. The first hit we took from Google was when smaller blogs were no longer presented. Now another hit is coming: answers will be provided directly to users with a small annotation about our website. Users won't need to visit our site; if they have additional questions, they can simply ask the AI chat again. I predict a 90% traffic loss for all informational, data, products, and Q&A pages. No one will invest time in producing useful content anymore. Everything will be AI-generated. There might be some large, paywalled sites remaining. The Internet will be filled with fake and AI-generated content. These AI systems will crawl AI-generated content to produce even more AI content. submitted by /u/Middle_Hovercraft_90 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/n50hWcJ

Seeking Help with SEO Indexing Issues on GSC

I’m experiencing some frustrating SEO issues after switching my blog URLs from ID-based to title-based URLs in my website. Here’s what I’m seeing: Soft 404 Errors : In Google Search Console, when I run a live test on URLs, I get “URL is not available to Google” with “Page cannot be indexed: Soft 404” errors. Canonical Tag Conflicts : Most blog pages aren’t indexing correctly and show “Duplicate without user-selected canonical” or “Alternate page with proper canonical tag” errors. Google is defaulting to an older indexed blog URL as canonical instead of my declared one. Here’s what I’ve done so far: Ensured all canonical tags are correctly set, as confirmed by inspecting in the browser. Checked my website through Ahrefs SEO tool, which detected no canonical issues. Despite these checks, indexing remains a challenge. I’m ready to pay for expert help on this!
