Covid-19 Made me a Freelancer Content Strategist!

4 years ago, when I started out, I remember it was the most stressful era of my life. I started out in covid-19, and I remember, it was a time when I couldn't find anything else to work, as everything was shut down! I loved speaking English, participated in essay writing competitions in my school, and that has weaved a path for me to be a wordsmith! I started writing for a client at $1 per 600 words! LOL could you imagine? But, it didn't stop me! I kept on working, and this has made me a content strategist and a successful copywriter today! Today, I have worked with 150+ satisfied clients in over these 4 years, and am proud of myself! submitted by /u/phoenixdigitals [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/rbYpTf6

The SEO Secrets To Explosive Blog Traffic!

Ever wondered how top bloggers get seen by millions? It's no accident! How to improve, optimize and keep it simple?

Hello, We have a dentures site with pages that rank top 5 in our local area for every treatment i.e. full denture, partial denture, flexible denture, denture repairs, etc These high ranking pages are blog posts that our agency created instead of doing proper landing pages. Each blog page uses an SEO Title like "Partial Dentures + Neighbourhood + City" The actual content in each blog is about 500 words and usually formatted like: Stock image Text Text CTA Text Text Text CTA The problem is these pages don't convert. Calls and form sign ups are really low. So my first instinct was to build proper landing pages and then link from the blog pages to the landing pages. Months later the new landing pages haven't gotten much traction. Very low traffic. I wonder if the old blog posts and the new LPs are 'cannibilizing' each other and I'm bit stumped on what to do now. Should I just modernize the old blog posts and redesign them to match a more contemporary L...

Niche website advice

I mostly lurk on this sub, but wanted to reach out for any advice. I started a niche website back in September and have had moderate success. I really just want to know where i should go from here to scale. Just continue more of what im doing? Or anything else I should add in. Its a niche tech site. Im getting about 20-80 visitors a day. The site is making about $100 per month. I use amazon associates for random product links, but have a main affiliate partnership I push that pays out about $15 per sale. For content I use ahrefs to find low competition keywords and use surferseo AI to create content around those keywords. (I know dont rely on ai, but I suck at writing. And I always proofread and fact check before publishing.) I try to have about 2 internal links and 2 external links per post. I currently have about 30 posts on my site. I currently dont have a solid strategy for backlinks, but that is something im working on. Ideally, id would like to get the website profitable en...

I did a voice over content on a public licensed video I took from YouTube but I'm getting copyright strike, is there anyway to bypass this?

Idk if this is the right place but I only thought that this is the only place where to post this. I recently created my own work by doing a voice over video, on a video I took from YouTube, but unfortunately whenever I upload it on Facebook I get a copyright strike even if my voice is recorded on it. New to SEO.

Im a software engineer that mostly works on closed systems that are SEO irrelevant. On my free time I built a friend of mine a website for his commercial kitchen equipment business at dmvkitchenfix.com using the latest toys (nextjs hosted on netlify and AI for content) which other than being fun to play with has the additional benefit of basically being free. Ive done all the basic SEO optimizations you can find with a quick google search, but really was wondering if Im missing anything. Is it possible to target SEO for slow growth?

I have a start up that I’m managing on my own. I have big plans for it, but I need to ramp up sales gradually. I’m aware that the worst thing that could happen to me is that I get too many orders to manage and over expand too quickly. I have immediate goal of making 20 sales a day. That’s all I’ll need to generate enough revenue in order for me to hire and gradually ramp up production. How can I accomplish this goal? Am I being shortsighted? Any tips are welcome. What do you use for enterprise SEO data management & analysis?

I work for a large enterprise and we use Looker Studio for reporting and have access to Power BI as a company, but don’t know much about it or use it. The thing I think we should be doing is collecting our data via something like Big Query for data management, analyzing, and historical data purposes in combination with continuing to use Looker Studio (with perhaps a connection like Supermetrics for better data visualizations), or migrate on over to Power BI for reporting. I think this would be smarter for data management, analysis, and diagnosing issues. What are your suggestions? What do you use for your enterprise site(s)? Also to note: I have only used power bi in the sense of viewing reporting dashboards. I know it can do more than that and was wondering if Big Query is still needed? From my understanding Big Query is more for housing data and not data visualization and reporting. Clarification on the differences of these tools a bit better is appreciated. One thing specifically ...

Add shop to affiliate/information website

I have a question. Recently I started to create a website. It is strong with right quality, and there are many gaps in my niche. I see how I can fill it and since google is messing with us, I already have other ideas how to get organic traffic. The website is already partially branded, but finally I want to expand it with my own products. My question is. * Is it bad for my website / SEO if I add a webshop to it? If not what do you guys recommend to me. -A shopify that I link to it through the menu bar. And then for example call SHOP.mydomain. -Or that I have woocommerce built into my website and start selling from there. (It then does mean that I have to build in my webshop, when it is actually an informational website. submitted by /u/BrainNumer12 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/IW3t7Yv

Will changing my websites name help with SEO?

Hello all, I am a founder of a niche employer review platform called Kitchen Confidentials . I know nothing about SEO other than the absolute basics. A friend told me that because there is a book called "Kitchen Confidential" the best thing I could do for SEO would be to change our name. Is this true? Does name alone really have such a big impact? If not, what could I do? Thank you so much!! submitted by /u/lsqj [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/7i8EBQK

Keyword going up and down the SERP...

I have a page that is ranking in the top 5 for a keyword, but I will get notifications from SEMrush position tracker that my keyword drops to 99 and then back up to where it was, and then down, and then up, and so on. I cannot understand why this would be happening, has anyone else had this problem with SEMrush? Or is it actually jumping that crazily in the SERP... Note: no changes are made to the page between rank positions so there is no real reason in my control that it should be jumping like that submitted by /u/pageandleaf [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/IiEoJLf

How do i do keyword research?

Hello everyone, I’m new to SEO. I’d like to know how to do keyword research, knowing which keyword to target, most of the keywords that have high volume have a high keyword difficulty score. Also after i have these keywords, how do i decide where these keywords are mentioned, homepage or about or contact? How do i decide that? Also how many times should i mention? Should it be in the same order like software company or could it also be software another word company? Lastly, the intent for keyword - how to i optimized that? Like software company keyword could be searched by someone who is starting a software company or a client looking for software services. I want to target the latter! Is there any way to get my small business to compete against Discovery?

I am seeking some advice or thoughts on the situation I am currently in. I took over and run a wholesale seafood company that is called Sea Gold. Website, seagoldfoods.com My problems occur when trying to Google search Sea Gold as the results are ALL related to the Discovery channel TV show "Bering Sea Gold"... If someone were to search "sea gold foods" or "sea gold inc" or "sea gold shrimp" I would come up first, which is awesome, but my question is, is there any way I could possibly get into the search results of "Sea Gold" without spending a ridiculous amount of money like Discovery is? I am willing to put some money aside for marketing but obviously will never be able to spend as much as the TV corporations. Would greatly appreciate any thoughts or strategies I could possibly implement to take over the Sea Gold search result from Discovery! submitted by /u/OGSkan [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The ...

Rankings Continuously Dropping on Honest / Real Site (EAT?)

Hi there, I am really lost. My website https://heatertips.com/ is continuously loosing traction over the last year. In Google Search Console I can see a slow and steady decline in traffic from an average of 2,500 visitors / day to around 500 visitors / day now. I have a hard time explaining the change, as I have kept working on the website and added more genuine content. I am an expert at what I am writing about, since I am an engineer, with most of the things I write about at home. I perform experiments to validate my claims. And I have a youtube channel associated with the website. Technical SEO is almost on point (Pagespeed score is 92, 92, 100, 93). So, I am a real person. I am not a spammer. And I know what I am doing. Or at least I thought I knew... Why is Google penalizing me? submitted by /u/bytedeer2 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/2MRuCDl

I Am So Painfully Confused

Okay I cant figure this out so Im going to ask you wise folk. This is going to take a mintute because I need to provide details. Sooo... Im a meditation teacher with a site that has a lot of authority. I essentially have 2 main products: teaching meditation to individuals (keyword is just "meditation coach") and teaching to companies (keywords is "corporate meditation"). For a long time I had these 2 services across 3 main pages. The homepage was optimised for both services, and then one page dedicated to each individual service. Doing it this way my homepage would rank for both keywords but CTR was awful. So I decided to just make my page about the individual coaching and I deoptimized for the "corporate meditation" keyword. The only place I mention that keyword now is in one H3 in which it is the anchor text to the corporate page. Heres where Im mega confused. After deoptimizing for the corporate keyword, I am now TOP for it, but Im performing worse ...

Will moving a page in navigation affect seo?

This is probably a very stupid question, but I just recently switched my site over to squarespace after using godaddy/wordpress and, after watching one of my pages plummet from 31 to 62, its now on a rampage and up to 24 and still moving. The page itself is a sub-category of my services, however, and ideally would reside in a dropdown menu on the homepage. Would this affect seo at all? I know it'd still be a part of the top-level site structure, but I'm afraid to breathe on it at the moment, given how quickly it's moving back up. submitted by /u/Acrobatic_Task8681 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/elvtk0y

Transferring company website

I have been asked to take over the website for a company, they own the website. It’s currently running on gravity fox from previous SEO company (hosted by a third party server). There is some custom Laravel/PHP/VUE code in place. The reason for switching to me is poor management of SEO/copyrighting, technically speaking the website is fine. Need to transfer the website over to Wordpress, otherwise the company will be stuck having to implement changes to global elements and such with previous SEO. Facebook stream help seo

Hi all, hope you can help me. Small business owner trying to improve rankings. I have over 20 Google reviews. I was looking to add a blog to my website to keep clients updated and to help with SEO, but I don't really have time to maintain a blog and social media even though there would be a lot of overlap. Blog keywords are ranking on /blog/ instead of actual blog post

I started writing blogs for a family friend and have had success in gaining keywords related to 2-3 separate blog pages.
