Is SEO for Affiliate Marketing dead?

Hi SEO experts, I come here with a genuine question. I'm s begginer Affiliate Marketer trying to learn SEO. However, I find it shocking how much big name SEOs such as Authority Hacker seem to be giving up. They recently canceled selling their Authority Site System for example. Or at least they froze their sales. (I'm not part of their program so that wasn't a plug to make an affiliate sale.) I personally don't believe SEO for Affiliate Marketing is dead, but seeing that they being as big as they are canceled or froze their sales discourages me. What is your opinion on SEO for Affiliate Marketing? Thank you submitted by /u/Cautious-Radio7870 [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/Nzti9Sf

The Power of Combining Old-School and Modern Marketing for Local Business Success

I want to share a story about a digital marketer who’s also managing his father’s business after his passing. This business provides termite solutions and pesticide services, and while it faces strong competition, he has found a way to thrive by blending traditional and digital marketing strategies. What sets him apart? He took a hands-on approach to both offline and online promotion. On the traditional side, he designed and printed his own service posters and made sure to distribute them wherever he went—whether it was while commuting or on his way to the office, he always had a stack of posters ready. This method not only built local awareness but also helped him establish personal connections with people in the city. On the digital front, he focused on local SEO, managing feedback reviews, and video testimonials from satisfied clients. His website ranks well for important local search terms like “best,” “nearby,” and “top,” which has significantly contributed to lead generation. ...

What is the best structure of URLs? domain/category/business-name or domain/place/business name or domain/business/name ? Or provide all three available from different pages (like one is from the category page, another one from the place name), and the third from somewhere else?

Hi, I hope this question is not asked recently yet. Thanks! submitted by /u/_SeaCat_ [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/DQYIAlZ

SEO and relevance

Every day, my inbox fills with emails from so-called SEO "gurus" promising secret strategies to skyrocket success. Where do these emails end up? Straight in my junk folder. Here’s my take: Search Engine Optimization isn’t a magical solution that guarantees millions. It’s part of a broader set of “best practices” designed to optimize your efforts, not replace them. SEO is a tool, not a miracle worker. As the Social Media Coordinator for a trucking company, I manage and maintain all our social media accounts and our website. Tags like #hiringCDLdrivers or #CDLtoppay can help us reach a wider audience, but let’s be real—those hashtags are saturated. We’re competing with countless others using the same ones. Sure, SEO power words and CTAs (calls to action) are important, but without strong, compelling content, they won’t move the needle much. My main focus is on boosting engagement. The more people interact with the content we create, the more likely we are to see increases i...

Its Crazy How Dispensaries are Paying WeedMaps 4000 a month

I cant believe how many dispensaries and delivery services are cashing out so much on weedmaps. Its ridiculous to have to pay that much just to get customers doesn't make sense to me as a professional in my industry. I recently helped King Palm hit the front page of Google for grinders and a dispensary for LA dispensary, and now they maintain those positions at no additional cost. So I decided to launch litcannabisseo.com, to disrupt weedmaps and help give the power back to dispensaries and cannabis brands. I have been an SEO expert for 15 years, I am confident this service can provide the same results for anyone that is interested. submitted by /u/24kTHC [link] [comments] from Search Engine Optimization: The Latest SEO News https://ift.tt/4RlKxv9

Website seo questions (super noob/long)

Hey guys, I’m trying to get more customers for my car detailing business. I have a website with an inquiry form that sends emails and a Google Business page where I ask for reviews. I’ve heard it’s tough to rank on Google since bigger companies pay to rank higher. As a one-person business, I assume most people find my Google page first and then visit my site to inquire. Should I hire someone for SEO (not sure what that is) to get more direct traffic to my site? I’ve also posted on forums, and my Instagram links to my site, but I don’t think these efforts match the inquiries I’m getting. When I search for detailing in my area, I don’t even show up. Just trying to get some understanding around it all and where to put my efforts. I’ve heard that using certain keywords on my site can help with SEO, but is there a limit where adding more stops being effective? Also, I’ve heard a fast-loading website helps, but what makes a site load faster? Is there an option to pay for it to run on a stro...

Content Strategy

I have a question about blogging strategy. My blog is still fairly new, with around 10 posts. I was initially advised to focus on content targeting long-tail keywords, and most of my content so far revolves around random long-tail fitness-related keywords. However, I’m now reading that topic clusters are a great strategy because they allow for more internal linking and can help build authority and relevance around a specific subject. The issue I’m facing is that some of the topics I could write about for these clusters either don’t have much search volume or target highly competitive keywords that would be difficult to rank for. My question is, should I still go ahead and create these cluster articles to build authority, even if they don’t target the best or easiest-to-rank-for keywords? Or is it better to hold off until I can target higher-volume, easier keywords? Idk if that makes sense but let me know your thoughts submitted by /u/Jack_johnson_555 [link] [comments] fr...

Google search problems

Hello, I run a small clothing business, and have been for about a year. I initially paid people to help with my SEO and backlinks. I still don’t show up on google’s first page even when I type in my brand name which is the main thing I’m currently wanting to change. SEO giveth, and SEO taketh away.

Last year, we had a weird case—a complete first for me. A lady from this group (yes, you) made me jump through hoops: audits, reports, signed contracts, NDAs, and whatnot. At some point, I noticed things were getting muddy, so I passed it to our CEO, who has more experience closing this type of deal. The only thing remaining was to send the downpayment. Then, the CEO of their company told ours that he would "NEVER pay that kind of money to someone outside the US" and that he’d only pay a maximum of 1/4th because we were "inferior" (sic). Please note the amount was arranged by both parts and was in the contracts. In an attempt to save the project, our CEO contacted the lady, and she outright lied to his face, claiming they’d found someone better. She wasn’t aware of the earlier conversation, and all contracts had already been signed, leaving us with two options: she’s either a pathological liar or an unethical person. Here’s the kicker: they were so ignorant ...

How much time does it take for SEMrush (or any other tool) to discover backlinks made for a new site?

Does the discovery of backlinks by SEMrush depend on their indexing? For instance, if the backlinks aren't indexed yet, will SEMrush fail to detect them? Webp images not displaying on my older imac, only can see jpeg images.

I thought converting all images from jpeg to webp was the correct thing to do. When looking at my website from my newer macbook air, iphone, and other (newer) devices, all the images on my website show up fine. Now, when I looked at my website from my imac which is a late 2013 imac (macOS catalina version 10.15.7) almost NONE of my images show up. The only ones that show are the ones that are in jpeg format. All of the other ones that are in webp do not show up. Am I misunderstanding something? I thought images in webp was best for display options, but now I cant see any of them on my older imac. I need some advice/feedback on the SEO work I'm doing.

I posted a while back about how someone asked me to help them with their site and marketing. They have a pretty small budget and the site was initially just the products he has for sale. I went in and added an about page, contact page, and some other text content to improve the SEO and to hit some keywords. I also plan to do some blogs in the near future. Any other advice? Newsbreak App Traffic Issues?

Are any other publishers noticing any differences with the referral traffic Newsbreak is sending to external sites of late? For context, I look after a few sports publishers in an advisory capacity. For more years than I can count, they automatically picked up quite a few of the sites and more often than not would send a ton of highly targeted traffic their way. In mid-December, it feels, it all radically slowed down. Almost like a switch was hit. Interestingly, I can see that the platform is still picking up the stories from most of the sites. But the turbo-charged exposure seems down. Annoying as it was one of the things to help offset the losses from the chaos of Facebook, X, cutting organic reach. Looking into the platform since the issue started, I've noticed they've taken on more of a SmartNews format of "verified publishers" whose full content lives in their app. For anyone familiar with Newsbreak, would it be possible to know: * Has the "verified p...

Best Practices For Boutique Seasonal Ecommerce

Hello All, Working with a client who owns a very small boutique gift-wrapping business. Her e-commerce store was launched on Shopify but I'm having difficulty approaching the SEO for the "seasonal" products. For example, if she launches a "Valentine's Day collection" with 6 products within it. I know "best practices" would be to keep up the collection/page year-round and just mark it as out of stock. Since there are not many non-seasonal items, though, if I went with this method, the website would have a lot of out-of-stock products, collections, and pages for all of the seasons and holidays we aren't operating in. Also to note, seasons such as Valentines and Christmas may be cyclical but the products themselves may change annually. How can I ensure I'm not constantly redoing the SEO for this website and products? Using a subdomain to test new website design

We're working on rebuilding our website with a new design and functionality. We are a marketplace, but our current website is a marketing site with a lead form for the single city that we are currently in. Our main focus is to capture this market before expanding. Currently, we rank in the top 10 for our main keyword + target location, but the content is very minimal, and we don't have many supporting pages. This new version of the site will be more comprehensive, and we can expand the marketplace to include locations and services for our target markets as we enter new markets. Eventually, we will need to get to this marketplace experience with multiple locations. I thought of the idea of using a subdomain to test this new experience and see how it performs since crawlers treat subdomains as an individual website. If we see good performance, we can just migrate the new experience to our main domain and create a redirect for subdomain to point to the domain. Seems spammy a...

Massive Google Business Profile Volatility

Anyone else seeing huge movement in Maps, good or bad? Two of my clients saw massive decreases in Maps rankings while other clients saw decent gains. I'm trying to pin down what this is about. Should I revive an old website or start fresh for SEO?

Hi everyone, In 2020, I created a website with just one article that used to get ~100 monthly visits. I later put the site in maintenance mode (all pages showed a black screen) and left it inactive for almost 3 years. Now, I’m planning to restart the project, and I’m torn between reviving this old site (4-5 years old domain) or creating a brand-new one. Questions: - Does the domain’s age still help with SEO despite years of inactivity? - Could Google have “deprioritized” the site due to inactivity? - Would relaunching the old site be an SEO advantage or a potential disadvantage? Any advice or steps to check the site’s current SEO status (and potential Google penalties) would be greatly appreciated! SEO Strategy For Local Bathroom Fitting Business

Hi all, I’m by no means an expert in this field but I am trying to improve my websites rankings for “Bathroom Fitters” in my local area. So far, I’ve spent quite a fair bit of time attempting to improve my websites results on page speed insights. Unfortunately, I’ve chose to use Wix which is something I understand probably wasn’t the greatest choice. My site has 14 pages which average around 75 for performance and 100 for accessibility, best practice and SEO. That’s for mobile, desktop is closer to 95, 100, 100, 100 I’ve been unable to hit 90+, on mobile, as each page seems to have an issue with LCP which I’m beginning to think could be an issue with the speed in which Wix delivers the image to the browser (but I’m not certain of that due to my lack of experience) I’m looking at competitor sites in my area and they don’t have results anywhere near as good as mine so I’m not certain if this goes for me. Also, I’ve used keywords everywhere to look for directories which have a decen...

how to humanize chatgpt content in order to not be discard by google when you do seo positioning for a website

Losing keywords like crazy... freaking out

Hello everyone, i would love sime advice and thoughts about my current situation. I recently left my old agency who managed seo and Google ads. I have purchased the guru plan for semrush and have been doing the seo work on my own since. I have started losing organic ranking like crazy and I'm not sure what to do. A bit of context: My old agency was using a technique where they made a bunch blog posts that took this format: product 1 in town A, product 1 in town B, product 1 in town C, and so on. They would make about a dozen post like this for each product/service and the posts themselves were all identical aside from switching out the local town mentioned in the post. In total, there were about 150 or so of these kinds of posts on my site before I left. When I dropped them, their user accounts were removed from my qordpress site which unintentionally removed all of those posts with them. I wasn't concerned at the time as I didn't like this approach and felt like it cam...
