Does Google scan rich text sections on Shopify collection pages?

I’m still a relative newbie about SEO so forgive a potentially stupid question. I want to add more SEO rich text and internal links to my collection pages on shopify. I don’t want to add it to the description because it’ll be too much text and will fill up the top part of the page. If I add a rich text section at the bottom of the collection page, and tag all the headings appropriately, will Google still scan it for SEO purposes? Pages Not Getting Crawled or Indexed by Google (No Errors in GSC)

Hey everyone, I’m facing a strange issue with my clothing store website. Google Search Console shows only the generic pages (Home, About, Contact) as crawled/indexed. Product pages and blogs are not getting crawled at all, despite being linked directly from the homepage and also internally between each other. In GSC, when I run a live test on these pages, it says they can be crawled and can be indexed, but nothing happens. No error, no crawling, no indexing. I even uploaded a blog, submitted it, and linked it from an external guest blog on Medium, but still no crawl or index. One odd thing I noticed: When I test a product/blog URL on validator schema org, it says: “The URL was not found. Make sure the domain name is correct and the server is responding with a 200 status code.” But no other crawler or tool shows an error -- everything else fetches fine. Will my brand name 'Triljon' be hard to rank for since it means 'trillion' in Swedish?

I’ve heard that Google prioritizes entities like people and companies over dictionary-style links. I recently bought a domain for the term Triljon just because it was a good name, but now we’re actually planning to rebrand the whole company to Triljon, which is exciting. We don’t rely on SEO at all since a large part of our product is link sharing, so people won’t really discover us through Google searches. Still, we definitely want to rank as high as possible for our brand name. The word Triljon means “trillion” in Swedish (we’re based in Sweden but it’s an international business). When you Google Triljon today you just get results about the number, which are kind of random. Without knowing much about SEO, I’m wondering: does this mean the term is so big that it will be really hard to rank for, or does it mean we basically have the keyword all to ourselves? Massive Impressions and Avg. Position Spike on the 21st of Every Month

I’ve scratched my head at this for almost a year now and wanted to put some more eyes on it to see if anyone has any idea. This is for a local HVAC company in a suburb of Houston. Every single one of those Impression and Position spikes occur on the 21st of the month. On the 21st of every month. There is a MASSIVE spike in Impressions and Average Position (no change in Clicks). If I compare the 21st to the 22nd of any month and sort queries by Impression Difference, all the impressions seem to come from “(specific hvac service) + (suburb/city name)”. Given the fact that this is Houston, my only guess is there’s a major HVAC company out there that has some type of SEO tool that’s going out manually searching Google on the 21st of every month to test results. What else can I do for my client?

I’m currently supporting a client with SEO. Earlier this year (as of April), they stopped all paid SEO activities and shifted to a 100% organic approach (for internal reasons). I’m contracted for about 12 hours per month to help improve their organic performance. The client’s goal is to reach 600k pageviews this year for their B2B IT solutions website. However, their traffic trend has been declining, and with only ~230k pageviews since April, it’s already clear this target is unrealistic. Potential SEO poisoning

Hey guys, Second time in my life deploying a web app and dealing with SEO... But the first time I have encountered an issue where my website has been indexed as some random portuguese website... So heres the whole story: I have a web application that I have made for my friend's "business" and I have bought a server on hetzner, web application is written using SQLite, Laravel 12, Inertia with SSR and Vue 3.5, I have deployed the application using VitoDeploy, added the website to google site console and thats it... Weird movement in GSC average position

In the last couple of days, my average position for queries has jumped from around 30 up to 10! It can't be true. I checked my Looker Studio report that lists over 30,000 queries, and there is a slight change, from around 30 up to about 25. SEO dilemma in a difficult niche

I’m trying to do SEO for a platform in a very difficult niche (short links). The platform was founded in 2017, and its first business model was to incentivize users to bring traffic to their short links. I never really focused on SEO from the beginning. All My Keywords Vanished Overnight – Anyone Seen This Before?

This morning, I checked my keyword tracker (about 200 keywords), and all but one dropped completely out of the top 100 overnight. I double-checked with another rank tracker and got the same result. Building topical authority for multiple cities

If I have a local business, and I operate in let’s say 5 cities. I would create 5 location pages targeting keywords but then adding the city next to it. To build topical authority, I could use a blog and cover topics, but should I cover topics at the city level? First blog post… would love some advice!!!

I have followed the advice I’ve been reading here and r/blogging and just published my first blog post (and launched my site)! From everything I’ve read, I guess my first post is doomed to be terrible and I’ll improve the more I write, but I’d still appreciate some advice! My niche is neuroscience and I’m honestly having a bit of trouble making sure my content is easy enough to understand but also scientifically accurate. Help - organic rankings have dropped significantly

Hi, this is my first post. I am a solo marketer for a small professional services company. We have an external consultant providing SEO and PPC support and I have stupidly taken my eye off the ball and assumed everything was going fine on the SEO front, but I've just realised our organic rankings have dropped significantly and we're only on page one for a few key search terms. We are parting ways with the external consultant at the end of this month and I'm not sure what to do next or even where we have gone wrong in recent months to have dropped so much. Pages appearing as crawled but currently not indexed on GSC, but when I inspect URL they appear as indexed

for example kw "allie dunn n*de" and all relate to this type of kw. They beat top sites in this niche. those site indexed and ranking fast, you can search that kw and see there 2-3 sites(sample owner or maybe same spamming type) in top 10 just spamming site, the content google indexed and content displayed to user is completely diff. those site is just register few days ago. But got thousands indexes and ranked top 10 easily. I just built my 1st website, hosted on AWS Amplify w/ a Cloudflare domain. Cloudflare suggested robots txt file and there are so many bots i don't know which to block. Relaunch

I relaunched a site that was doing really well in 2019/2020 through organic traffic (around 220k clicks and 4M impressions per month on average), with over 4,000 keywords in the top 3. After 9 months of rebuilding and updating, it now barely gets 200 clicks and 38k impressions, with only 6 keywords in the top 3. It’s clear that just taking back a domain with strong backlinks and history isn’t enough to grow quickly. Would buying traffic, for example with PopAds or similar platforms, send positive signals to Googlebot? Bing Indexing Issue

My one site is not getting indexed on Bing, when I first made it, then it was showing up and doing well but now it's completely gone even with the search "site: mysite" nothing shows. According to the bing webmaster tools, I get this message "The inspected URL is known to Bing but has some issues which are preventing indexation" None of the URLs are getting indexed. Products stuck in ‘Under Review’ status in Google Merchant Center since Aug 27

Since August 27, I’ve been experiencing an issue in Google Merchant Center. The majority of my products (exactly 328 items) remain stuck in the “under review” status. Because of this, they don’t get pushed to my Google Ads account, and I can’t advertise them. I contacted Google Support via email but haven’t received a reply. I tried several fixes: updating product images, rewriting descriptions, refreshing the product feed, etc., hoping that something might resolve the issue, but no matter what I change, the status doesn’t update. At the moment, only 92 products are being synced to Google Ads, which I’m able to advertise. In total, I have about 300 products in stock, so ideally all of them should appear in Google Ads. Semrush 'Organic Research: Keywords and Rankings' - are these at all accurate?

I understand that all the common SEO tools (semrush, ahrefs, etc.) are estimating most of the data they show, so I'm not expecting perfect accuracy. But in your opinion, is the data shown for organic research, keyword rankings, keyword gaps, etc., accurate at all? Or do you not place much stock in it? Am I working in a very competitive niche? [Language Learning]

So, I started a blog on my father's business page, thinking it might help us get some indirect traffic or leads to the main business of German language courses. Initially the writing new content wasn't that frequent, but still could get 50-100 views on each post, mainly through social media connections. I worked on getting some generic backlinks, but getting backlinks from the Language learning websites, especially German ones, is extremely difficult. Either very few to no broken links across sites, or I do not get any response from the website. Simultaneously, Duolingo, busuu, Tandem, Preply, etc, big players will always get the first 20 results with their organic backlinking by various blogs. Even after ~30-40 topically relevant backlinks, some organic traffic as well, it still falls super-short in front of all the giants. I'm ranking between 55-70 on Google. Is 120+ monthly search impressions after 2 months for new domain positive

Hi I recently launched a SAAS in the transcription space and I currently have 120+ monthly impressions across GSC and Bing search. A part of me feels like the progress is really slow and would like to hear your opinion based on your experience. For context, I am not an SEO expert and this is my first time doing real SEO for myself. The web site currently have 300+ pages with 90 currently indexed. An additional 150 pages was only recently added a few days ago. I carefully did all the required seo steps like canonical, hreflang(localization), LDjson, page slug with keywords, title and description with long tail-ish keywords, h1s tag and, first paragraphs containing keyword. Global SEO advice needed.

I worked in local SEO for most of my "SEO career" but now for the first time I am starting to work on a global SEO project which will target multiple English speaking countries, and I know it's a whole different game... For the context, the website is similar to Dribbble with thousands of dynamic pages created by users and a lot of images. I am planning to start with listing the platform on the relevant websites and directories, creating profiles on review platforms, etc... and to get initial dofollow backlinks until I get to 20-25 DR, then I would move to create and scale comprehensive topical authority with blogs. No ai slop, human written useful content with strong external and internal linking to other blogs and user generated content pages. Buying guest posts?

I've found a few sites willing to sell guest posts in my niche at an affordable rate—all have 20+ TF, high RD, and 10,000+ traffic. They rank for multiple keywords in Google and have no spam in their Wayback Machine history. TBH, a quick look at the sites makes it pretty obvious that they are essentially link farms. But all of the outbound links are niche-relevant, and none of the sites appear to be penalized. Is there anything else I should check before moving forward? Ahrefs vs. Moz vs. Semrush: Which Do You Prefer and Why?

I'll go first. My personal preference is Semrush, mainly because I find it very consistent when it comes to their Authority Score for domains (which i need to purchase quality domains). Other than that, used it ever since I started working for the company, essentially every function they have, I used it. I use Ahrefs to make reports for my clients, other features less so. But I still prefer Semrush over Ahrefs for rating domains (ahrefs seems kinda inconsistent in results). Moz is good for rating domains if you want to show off how good they are. Fluffed, very inconsistent results, can easily rate a crap domain over 30 DA. Haven't used other features honestly, because I use group buy tools so not all of them work.
