Alt text not visible in FastGallery

I have recently created my website using Wordpress and I am using the fastgallery plugin and have integrated the shortcodes in my webpages. Dropped rankings after June Core Update – UGC dominates SERPs in my niche

I have an article about home lab servers that was sitting solidly on page 2. Since the June Core Update, it slipped to page 3–5. Looking at the SERP now: Page 1 is primarily composed of Reddit threads and test forums. Blogs barely show up. When they do, they’re often outdated (2022/2023). My fresher 2025 article isn’t seen as more relevant. It feels like freshness signals are weaker, and Google is heavily boosting UGC for “first-hand experience.” The irony is that much of the UGC is shallow or outdated compared to blog content. Curious if others have noticed the same: Is freshness being deprioritized? Is the UGC push here to stay, or just a temporary swing? Anyone else noticing Claude Artifacts outranking blog posts on Google? (for micro-niches)

Hey, recently, I have observed that: If you search on Google for some niche or narrow market keywords. Google will often show you Claude artifacts in the first page (and often first position). For example, just a few minutes ago I searched for the keyword “offerlab review.” for that google showed a few youtube videos first. but then in the second position results it was a Claude artifact. You won’t believe…on the same first page, there are multiple claude artifact results, and even on the second page too. I was shocked because there are some good blog posts written by people. but Google is not ranking them in the top positions. Instead, it’s ranking Claude Artifacts. At first I thought it could be because of my search behaviour, Google is showing the results that are relevant to me.but then I tried incognito mode but still the same results. Why is this happening? Unsure about programmatic SEO "experts" because strategy seems off. Should I walk away?

I work at a roofing company that wants to create a programmatic SEO tool. We found some developers who told us they were specialists, and they're even developing their own SEO tool (we didn't receive access to it). I'm not completely ignorant about SEO. I grew my website to 90,000 visits/year by myself with no budget before working here, had an agency with some clients for a few years, but I haven't been 100% active in the SEO world for 2 years now. Should I allow Google to crawl/index categories if they're poorly structured?

I've recently been hired to revamp a client website that has NOT been well optimized and not ranking. The actual site structure, sitemap, categories and tags in the blog, are all a mess. There are 122 Categories (they were basically being used like tags, just categorizing things all over the place) and over 2,100 (!!!) tags. Basically keyword spam: authors making tags of any handful of words they felt the article was about. So I know those have to be nuked and completely rebuilt, and in the meantime have noindexed the tag archives and deleted the tags sitemap xml from Google Search Console. So hopefully that alone helps stop Google from crawling and indexing the site as a keyword salad. But for the categories, they're bad but not completely terribly used across the board. I'd say we could get it down to 20 actual categories and delete the rest. For now, my concern is there are dozens of properly-categorized blog posts under some "good" categories. Overall it...

Categories vs. Tags - how to organize content?

I run a site with ~110 posts, and it has a hierarchical niche that requires easy navigation. I need to somehow include 16 sub-categories on my site to make it easy for users to browse. But with only ~6–7 posts per sub-category, I’m worried these archive pages might be too thin for SEO. Confused about SEMRush organic traffic graph.

I'm confused about the organic traffic graph on the SEMRush domain overview page. The headline of the graph says "Organic Traffic: 2,010/month". But then when I change the view to 1 month and hover over a specific day it says around 2000 for each day as well. Can anyone help me understand the discrepancy? Major Movement on Bing

Is anyone seeing a big change with rankings and traffic on Bing in the last 24-48 hours? For me, traffic appears to have completely collapsed. There are no penalties or guidelines issues in Webmaster Tools. A lot of previously high-performing pages (ranking in the top 3) look to have fallen out of the SERPs entirely. Pages can show up if you do a site search, but they're not ranking at all. I'm seeing a lot of random, low-quality SEO sites dominate the top results now. I have always killed it with Bing, ranking at the top of their SERPs for years. Old pages with no search volume

Hi everybody, I have a site with 15,000 pages. I have about 5000 pages last updated in 2021 and 2022 that get no search volume according to console and no traffic over the last six months. Should I just archive all these pages or is there a benefit of having them on the site? LLMs / AI citations in search - How does a business prove their claims

I've seen jobs advertised that are described as confirming AI results online. So, I guess this is a new industry. I think that's a good thing. But, what do businesses need to do to prove accomplishments. Do we need images of academic degrees or links to sites that prove experience? Do we need images of articles where work has been published or awards have been given? I did a chat GBT on a business that read in part "according to the business......" this is what makes me wonder how much evidence, and in what form must we share? I'm fortunate that if someone did a deep dive, they would discover that all claims are accurate. But I was concerned to read according to the business, which left some doubt about an accolade. Hi there. I am looking for advice on determining the type of algorithm penalty is on my site. I will start by saying: 1. I have never bought a backlink 2. I have never worked with an SEO 3. It's confirmed that I have no tech errors. Basically, I have lost thousands of Google clicks per day since 2022 so I know there is some type of algorithmic penalty on my domain. I have never received any manual action. I know that most say not to worry about backlinks because Google disregards spammy links, but there is definitely a correlation between the rise in referring domains and my lost of all traffic over a 2-3 year time span. Favicon/Icon not appearing in SERP despite correct setup (5+ Days waiting)

My website’s favicon is not showing in Google Search results, even though I have implemented all favicon requirements. Site URL: https://bondhusystems.tech/ Canonical URL (declared and selected): https://bondhusystems.tech/ File accessibility: All favicon URLs return HTTP 200 OK and are not blocked by robots.txt. Need some backlink advice

My website is around 2 years old. We are a luxury travel service business focused around private jet travel, luxury holidays and personal shopping. We are also a crypto friendly business and accept crypto as payment. Some of our keywords have KD around 20-40 so naturally it’s harder to rank. Anyone experiencing Google Shopping Issues?

I have a Shopify store and we're using an app called Simprosys to manage our feed. Our products have different variants whether it's a different color or a size and they usually live in the same page. For example, T-shirt red and T-shirt orange are in one page. Now, when people search "T-shirt orange", Google shopping shows the price of "T-shirt red" maybe because its the same page and its the first listed variant of the page. How to do deal with content theft and derivative works?

My company imports and resells a product that is relatively new to the USA and I just got a Google Alert today that we have a new competitor (also in the USA). I checked out this other company's website and was saddened and angered to see they lifted 80% of their landing page from MY website. 10% of the content looks original and 10% looks to be from the original equipment manufacturer. My questions: Is it possible they just asked AI to write them a landing page for this article and it was Google/ChatGPT who plagiarized my site to make a "new" landing page for them? They even stole my pictures!!! Will Google recognize their content as a rip-off of mine and downrank them for it? If no to #2, is there any point in sending them a cease and desist? Any other thoughts you might have are very much welcome. Combining blog posts

I'm auditing my client's website as we prepare to migrate it to a new CMS. I have found several technical article series throughout the site, some with only 2 parts, and one with a whopping 10 parts. For the 10-part series, none of these posts are heavy hitters for organic traffic, but I'm looking to repurpose any solid content as much as possible. Since these article parts are competing with each other for keywords, it would seem to make sense to combine them into one long post with a table of contents. Competitor hit me with spam backlinks? Organic traffic tanked as referring domains spiked

My site was doing well at the start of 2025, then suddenly tanked just as a load of toxic backlinks started pointing at it. A competitor even tried to buy my domain late last year; I turned them down, and a few months later this spam wave started. Now GSC shows “no data” for links, Ahrefs is full of junk, and I’m stuck wondering if this is negative SEO or just bad timing. From March onwards I saw a big surge of new referring domains in Ahrefs; most of them are obviously toxic (PBN sellers, expired domain spam, auto-generated junk). By July/August, my organic traffic had basically fallen off a cliff, and it lines up almost exactly with the spike in backlinks. Google Search Console shows no linking sites at all, so maybe Google is ignoring them? I’ve already uploaded a disavow file with the worst ones and I’m updating it as more come in. Another month over month drop - give up time?

I've gone from top 5 ranking on my best keywords to page 3, and for most key phrases, they don't appear at all, when they used to be on page 1. My site has 1000s of pages. Lots of "thin" content because they are just pictures. There are some duplicate titles, because there are bound to be similar images. But otherwise I think I've followed all the SEO practices. Over the past 18 months there have been cliffs. I had another 20% drop of traffic between June and July. I normally don't suffer summer declines. Traffic is 50% of what it was this time last year. I have 80 "Top linking sites", I don't know if that is high or low. Sounds low. My competition is blowing me away this year. I'm beside myself. I do run ads on the site, but if I don't have ads then there really is no point for me to have a site. Any tool that automates post updates?

I have been looking for a fully or semi-automated SEO tool that plugs into my CMS (WP, for example), looks at posts that are older than X months and then updates them with data from search console (expanding keywords, etc). Also uses perplexity or some other AI with internet access to make sure the post is actually up to date with information. I know there is more that goes into this, but this would be barebones. This way you can publish a post once and know it will be updated every X months for forever. Content revisions are killer and I'd pay good $ for something like this. Anyone else? Referring Domains

I have my website listed on multiple directories such as Yelp, local business directories, BBB, yellow pages, etc but when I go into Ahrefs and look at the listing of referring domains, the only one that shows is BBB (along with a bunch of other random domains I've never heard of - about 35 others in total). Website Won’t Show In Google Results After Countless Work

We are working with a website domain that has been around for years. We built and launched a new website to improve their presence as they weren’t showing up anywhere online. With that, we have submitted sitemaps to search console, submitted for instant index, set GBP url (took months a multiple tickets to approve), created 75 citations via BrightLocal, setup listing syndication via Yext, submitted sitemap to Bing, requested indexing via GSC daily, and more. The content is relevant and the site is built with WordPress. The pages are not even showing up with issues or errors in GSC. The homepage is showing as indexed but nothing actually shows up in the Google search results. All of the other pages aren’t indexed or showing in the search results. Relocating a business—best approach for GMB with multi-state clients?

Hey SEO folks, I’m trying to figure out the smartest way to handle my Google My Business situation. I have a service-based business that was established in one state for several years, building strong local traction. Around 30–50% of my clients come from out-of-state, primarily a specific other state but also a few others. I’ve recently relocated to a new state and a couple months ago, anticipating my move, updated my website SEO to include multiple service locations, as well as updating the original GMB listing. Questions I have: Should I create a new GMB listing for my new location while keeping the old one? Is leap frog marketing a scam?

Florida number. Can't find specific information about this SEO marketing company. Our small business has a glitch on Google that says we aren't public but we are. Auto resposes from Google basically tell us everything is working as intended. We are verified and on google maps but you have to dig to find us even if you type in our exact name and/or address. We used to come up on results as normal and then suddenly everything has been impossible to find for our clients. We have a decent presence on Yelp, Nextdoor, etc which is where most of our new clients find us. This SEO company promised they could help and I spoke with them for a long time with lots of questions but I am still suspicious. If someone can prove to me they are a scam, I would appreciate it. Hey guys! do you guys know anything about largest contentful paint / time to first byte / first contentful paint by chance? i swapped our homepage video from a 12MB file to a 2.8MB one and the load vitals did not change whatsoever. Sudden "Crawled - Currently Not Indexed" Issue — All Pages Removed from Index After June 2025

Hello, I'm looking for advice on a sudden issue I’ve started experiencing with my website. Up until June 2025, all my pages were indexed properly. But now in Google Search Console, it shows 0 pages indexed. The status of all previously indexed pages has changed to “Crawled - Currently Not Indexed.” Here’s what I’ve checked so far: Sitemap is accessible and validated in Search Console. robots.txt is not blocking any pages. Page speed is within normal limits. I’ve already improved the content on the pages and enhanced internal linking. After that I submitted a "Validate Fix" request in Google Search Console, but I’m still facing the same issue. When I try site:mydomain no pages show up — likely because none are currently indexed. Here are a few things about cold emailing I've picked up that most people don't talk about: • AVOID adding a link in your first email I used to add my website link which ended up making my email way more likely to land in the spam folder. Calendly is NOT an exception, it's a link too. Keep that for your next email. It's pretty much tried and tested. • DON'T add any attachments Attachment screams suspicious, even avoid google drive link. As malware could easily be installed using a file and brands tend to avoid taking that risk. If you wanna show your portfolio, testimonials and case studies - making a proper website would be a much better alternative. • KEEP your emails short, unserious and maybe funny? Article Revamp Strategy

Hello Reddit, I am relatively new to SEO and in the last few months I have been overseeing the SEO of our website as due to several circumstances, there is no one experienced to do so right now - so I'm seeking advice from those more experienced. I am currently looking into how we should be prioritise revamping or articles as we have over 800 stretching from 2017. I believe that the best way forward right now is targeting those articles ranking around 6-10 on Google SERP for each month and have seasonal relevance, which we have plenty of, and aim to get them into positions 1-4. I was also considering those outside page one but I don't currently believe they would return as much value. Anchor text mobile VS desktop view

I'm relatively new to SEO and have a question regarding the hierarchy of importance if I use different anchor texts for the same link on mobile and desktop versions of a page. Example URL: /mini-furniture-removals On the desktop version of my site: I use containers where the heading text of each container is linked to the URL. So for this link it may be something like "Trusted Mini Furniture Removal Company in Town". On the mobile version: I use Elementor's slider element in order to increase user friendliness, but you cannot link headings. So while the same heading applies to the slide & concept as a whole, I can only link the button where the anchor text will be shorter. For example "Mini Furniture Removals". Now, the question is which anchor text will take priority when it comes to relevance? Do they carry equal priority? Does the button carry less? Do the priorities differ on mobile & desktop?
